    Bench Press

I watched Dave Tate's video on bench press and his form was far from what I've been doing. I've started using it nevertheless.

I'm currently running allpro's beginner routine and I want to know whether I should use his suggested form or not? Since he's a powerlifter.

Rippetoe claimed that if your elbows are further away from you, it removes a lot of pec work in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kauc-...feature=relmfu

If my main concern is hypertrophy, do I follow what Rippetoe says, or Dave Tate?

Cause for the past 6 months, I've been benching vertically on my nipple line touching my chest and going back up.

Not much gains though. Only from the 45lb bar to 95lbs at the moment.
    Yeah... time to bulk.

I saw better results from switching from bench to incline dumbbell/barbell press with varying levels of incline, just another option
I admit all my threads suck :(

my main focus is to continue allpros, but at the same time building a bigger chest and getting my bench up.

Which form should I be following?
    Yeah... time to bulk.

if your goal is to increase your bench then I'd say yes. progressive overload is key.

IMO Thats not the point, the point is you want to be safe. Cause trust me you will feel like **** when you have shoulder problems.

And btw the bench press is actually more of a tricep movement
