Its not a sport that demands stamina, just because it takes 90 minutes to complete a match. I can think of dozens of other sports right now that are far more demanding, Basketball definately one of them.

I played @ high level, but whatever you want to think is fine. Boxing, Basketball, 800m, 1500m and longer distances, rowing, professional cycling, Judo, triathlon, formule 1, biathlon, squash, badminton,... I can go on and on.
