How it happened:
I was warming up some oil on the stove... I figured "maybe I have some time to go on a beat-it break" (srs).
I was doing my thing, and I smelled some smoke - didn't think much of it.
All of the sudden, alarms going off. I run out of my bathroom ass naked and right in front of me... flames. flames everywhere.

MISC. Have you ever tried putting out a fire naked? It's scary as ****.

I don't know what went wrong, but evidently the oil caught fire on the stove and destroyed everything else. IDK if my oven still works


I got negged by my oven. RIP microwave...
But srs Misc. Dafuq do I do? Parents are out of town and will be back tomorrow. I have $80 in my bank and cannot buy a new microwave, or paint for the cabinets and wall.

I think I will just come clean and text my dad what happened here in a bit... Will post convo.

UPDATE ON CONVERSATION: I called him. I told him what happened. The conversation went something like

M: Hey. So what happened was, I was cooking some oil so I can fry chicken on it. As I was waiting for it to warm up, I stepped out of the room and all the sudden the fire alarm goes off, so I ran to the kitchen and saw that everything was in flames

Him: How did you handle it? Is anything else burned and does the oven still work?

Me: I threw water on it to try to put it out . . .

Him: CHRIS you know you aren't supposed to do that!

Me: I know steve, I was panicked

He told me that HOI might cover the damage, otherwise I'd probably have to help pay for it...

He is pretty upset. Mom is pissed.
