security field is useless
I mean i did manage some place for a year and now im taking time off since i got a back injury
But they want me to come back and work for 9 bucks an hour
Its dead end no raises
Armored truck is better it pays 14 to start and 18 for drivers
Loss prevention can be ok...11 to start and after 1-2 years then you can work for london drugs or another big place for 17 an hour
Private inv. pays 20 but i dont think there is enough work---its boring sitting in a car all day waiting for people too--
body guard--who needs money to protect jessica alba

Contract in Iraq = 1000$ a day. If you are a fatass and are going to be in the "Safe" area you only get 500$ a day.
But for the hardcore **** you can make 1000$ a day.
Your going to need militery or proffesional training though.

I read computer experts at top private security firms actually get paid most, or at least more than most bodyguards.
Air Marshall starts at 60k and goes to 100k after a few years.

Then go PI, it pays way more anyway. You also want an internship in this field i've found.

i have done bodyguard work. pritty easy, but long hours. if you had family i realy wouldnt recomend it, as u work away from home alot. my mate still works away from home, and hasnt seen his family for like 6 months.
what im saying is, u might think its easy, wich it is, but if your young, u will miss home, i used to see it all the time with young lads.

While in college i bounced at several bars and pretty much worked for free beer.
Just Graduated college and i worked loss prevention, worked horrible hours had no benifits/no retirement and made about 10 bucks an hour
Got into state police and now make almost 30 dollars an hour, excellent benifits, great hours and i will be able to retire at 42 years old. Unlimited training at the states expense that i will be able to use when i retire.
I did the same thing when i was in College, looked to be a body guard. The agencies that hire very well usually look for someone with a military or law enforcement background. Fresh out of college i had no experience at all so i ruled that field out.

$500/day is still very good for somebody in this field. It *can* be tax free, depending upon how you manage your ****.
If you're an extremely skilled operator, you might be able to pull $1,000/day, but most guys even on the PSDs only make $650/day.
To be honest with you, the risk doesn't justify the cost, speaking in terms of PSD vs. static work. Unless the operator just loves being in the ****, the static work is also more sustainable. A lot of guys take nonlethal injuries that cause nerve damage and they have to get out of the game. Neurologists and neurosurgeons are hot **** over there right now because of all the frag...your torso and head may be OK, but if you lose nerve function to an extremity, you aren't much use to the PMC anymore.

As long as you have a few years of experience you could probably get a static gig.

You need paramilitary experience to be a security contractor.
