be careful when you try this bros
once you let him into your life, there is no getting rid of him (srs). you will see him even during the day or at night when you're fully awake walking around your house

Shadow people are induced by your brain. Sleep paralysis is when your mind is awake and body asleep. The mind realizes that you can't move, so it creates a lot of scary **** like shadow people holding you down, various monsters, basically what you are most scared of. It is impossible to see a shadow people while you are fully awake. IT IS NOTHING RELIGIOUS OR SPIRITUAL. It's just your brain chemistry.

I want to try lucid dreaming/sleep paralysis but now that I know about this shadow person deal I feel like my mind is going to make one appear and scare the chit out of me. Is there any way to guarantee a positive LD experience?
The pictures in this thread fuuuuukkkkkkk. Was about to go to sleep.... nope not now.

9/10 for your trolling attempt.
source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sleep_paralysis
In addition, the paralysis may be accompanied by terrifying hallucinations (hypnopompic or hypnagogic) and an acute sense of danger.[9] Sleep paralysis is particularly frightening to the individual because of the vividness of such hallucinations.[8] The hallucinatory element to sleep paralysis makes it even more likely that someone will interpret the experience as a dream, since completely fanciful or dream-like objects may appear in the room alongside one's normal vision. Some scientists have proposed this condition as an explanation for reports of alien abductions and ghostly encounters.[10
The description of the symptoms of sleep paralysis is similar to the description many alien abductees give in recounting their abduction experiences. Sleep paralysis is thought by some to account for not only many alien abduction delusions, but also ghost sightings and delusions involving paranormal or supernatural experiences (e.g., incubus and succubus).
