I can't understand them. What's is wrong when you take couple of beers with the guys and get slightly buzzed and happy? 4-5 beers or even drinking vodka don't kill you and most likely you won't turn to a serial killer. Why are sober people scared to drink?
Not bashing sober people, i respect sober people but can't really understand them.

So we meet again, Estonian friend. I feel super strange being a tee total in this country considering how much people drink here. Taking the trolley early morning and getting that fresh smell of liquour from Koplinians...oh yeah.
My reasons :
-I don't need it. Character-wise I don't need to drink to be social, have fun, happy, whatever. I just don't need it. Most Estonians are cold and distant, so I can see why they would need it in social events.
-Hangovers are horrible.
-It's very, very expensive.
-I don't like the taste of most alcoholic drinks (minor exceptions that I remember).
-It's not healthy.

Don't need alcohol to be drunk. Can be perfectly drunk and a fun person with just using water.
People should lighten up, in general, and not make alcohol as some subconscious thing that says "Now I can have fun". You shouldn't be saying "Now I can have fun" as life should always be fun and enjoyable, not just when you drink.

I used to drink a lot , and I work in a liquor store so im surrounded by alcoholics daily , once in a blue ill have a drink but to me its just a conscious choice i guess , definitely not "scared" though
If you could be either God’s worst enemy or nothing, which would you choose?

Some people have to stay away from it because they can't "handle it"
One of my teachers who is 27 used to be an alcohol addict, he said it built slowly on him and by his college years he would be drinking heavily almost everyday, he tried to slow it down to only special occasions but it didn't work, only solution was to completely cut out alcohol, he's been sober for like 3 years now i think"It is an illusion that youth is happy, an illusion of those who have lost it; but the young know they are wretched for they are full of the truthless ideal which have been instilled into them, and each time they come in contact with the real, they are bruised and wounded."

I can see many reasons why people would not drink - health, the risks deriving from alcoholic related behaviour, the cost, the morning after, ethical and religious reasons etc. I myself only drink when clubbing which is quite infrequently. If you can't have fun without drinking, then you're quite a sad person tbh.

Actually... You're wrong OP. Drinking vodka can kill you.
I don't think they're all scared to drink, but former alcoholics might have trouble keeping it at the 4-5 beer limit. Some people don't drink because they don't like it, don't enjoy the buzz, the "fake" drunk laughter. Also the hangovers can be quite bad.
Alcohol is also toxic to your body, so it seems strange to hate on people who don't drink, instead of people poisoning themselves. I realize that it's a fairly mild toxin, not like cyanide, but still.
inb4 never tasted a beer. I do drink, but i can certainly see reasons why one would avoid such liquids.
Honestly, you're stupid/an ignorant if you can't see this from other peoples perspective.

there are other things you could do to have fun. alcohol tastes like sh*t and isn't really that fun man.
