First off, I want to give props to PBateman for a kick ass journal. Very interesting. I admire your intensity and volume. This may be a strange question but when you go to the gym what is your mind set like?

Second, JasonDB never knew you were on this forum. Your videos are informative. The first one I watched was about using proper form on bench press for chest growth and I noticed a difference immediately.

Last, why the hell is everyone in this thread eating ice cream? I am sure it has been asked before so I apologize in advance.

Layne Norton: I've never added more than 12 lbs of muscle in a year and most years it was closer to 5 or less. But when you maintain that for over 10 years and you don't miss workouts, it's amazing what can happen

Went down to Fremont for a certification test on Paseo Padre.

Saw a 24 Hour Fitness... almost went.

    Instead, I went to Chipotle.

    A worthy substitution!!

I cant justify spending 8-9$ for a burrito. just way too overpriced when you can buy a pound of meat and a bag of 6 wraps for cheaper....

Call me crazy, but its just not worth it IMO

Regularly, no way. But in a pinch it's a tastey option IMO.

However, I rarely eat out in such places. I'm all about home cookin.

    ^^^ Agree
Eating out is just way too expensive and medicore at best. Unless you are really going for a good fine dining experience which will cost you head over heels.

Hell go to applebees and get a chicken + Potato + veg meal, and a side salad and your almost up to around 20$

    Just insane.

If your a drinker a beer will cost you a good 3-4$ wherever you go, and it just insane...

    Ha!

Yeah I get the burrito like that....they can barely close it. I would say it's a solid 2.5-3.0lbs when you make it like that

Ultimate Burrito? Next time in Fremont go to Iguanas....they make a 5lb burrito.......AWESOME....called the Burritozilla and it's $21.00..lol.

I finished one two years ago while watching the Super Bowl. Took me a while though...a good 90min.

    01/21/13...

    Wake up time 2:35am.

Downed the Folgers (3.44456433434 gulps), out the door, and was at gym by 3:00am.

Today I trained triceps/biceps/abs/calves/forearms and a bit of cardio.

GUNZZZZ SHOW!!!! Believe it. How many tickets you got?

    Time to spit game:

    ABS
    1.)INCLINE SIT UPS- (Bodyweight plus 25lb plate) - 5 sets with 25lb plate at 20 reps/set.

2.)HANGING LEG RAISES - 5 sets of 40 reps/set. I held the contracted position for a count of two before beginning the negative portion of the rep. BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURN!

    FOCUSED....

My mind, body, and soul....on an entirely different level.

    BLEEEEEEEED...

    Let's move on.....

    BICEPS
3.) ALT DUMBELLS CURLS SUPERSETTED WITH REVERSE CABLE CURLS- Using 80s!!! CMOOON WEAK ASS. 4 sets/8-9 reps/80lbs. Closing in on 10 reps per set. Last set got 8 reps.

    Reverse Cable Curls...Yes sir.

So 1 set of Alt DB curls with 80lbs then did a Reverse Cable Curl with 70lbs. First 3 sets of Reverse Cable Curls got 10 reps. Last set of Reverse Cable Curls got 9 reps.

4.) Barbell Curls - PRRRR! 4 sets/205lbs/8-10 reps on each set. Best mass builder on the planet for biceps. Hands down. OWN THIIIS SHYT. Oh I use some body english in this movement. Gotta be able to move more weight somehow for a new stimulus. People dont get it. Stay small.

5.) ONE ARM CABLE CURLS W/DB and SUPERSETTED W/ BB WRIST CURLS - PRRR! 3 sets/50lbs/10 reps on each set. These are awesome. Hold that contracted position for a count of two. Really squeeze.

Each of the above sets were supersetted with BB Wrist Curls (palms up). Did 4 sets, used 80lbs, and reps ranged from 13-15 reps.

MURDER at this point. What ya gonna do? You gonna cry. Quit. Get... outta ma face little mice....

6.) PREACHER CURLS W/ EZ BAR - PRRR! Here I did MFB-8 training. So for this I started at 90lbs and was able to finish the five sets with 10 reps. Sixth set got 9 reps. Seventh set got 8 reps. THEN...

ADDED 20lbs to the bar and did a final EIGHTH set at 100lbs. Got 4 reps. PAIN!!!! Straight up madness!!!!!! Eight sets in under 3 minutes!

    CALVES
    7.) SEATED CALF RAISES - 5 sets/125lbs/25 reps.

8.) STANDING CALF RAISES - 5 sets/380lbs/20-25 reps. On these I like to hold the contracted position for 2 seconds then do into the negative portion of the rep.

    TRICEPS
9.) TRICEP PRESSDOWN - 4 sets/170lbs/9-10 reps. Hold the contracted position for 2 seconds before beginning the negative portion of the rep. Really have to squeeze on these need to get a nice contraction and keep elbows parallel to the ground.

10.) CGBP- 3 sets/315lbs/6,5, and 4 reps. Slowly have increase my reps here.

11.) DIPS - PRRRRRRR! Did these with weight...BW + (115lbs). 4 sets/6-8 reps. Bread and butter exercise for triceps/a little bit of side chest/ and even delts. Reps up from last session and weight has increased steadily over last severl weeks!

12.) UNILATERAL REVERSE GRIP PULLDOWN - 3 sets @40lbs. 10 reps. SICK EXERCISE!

    Done? Yeah right....

13.) ROPE PRESSDOWN - You remember? Here I did MFB-8 again....FTW!!!!!! Used 80lbs for first seven sets.

So I did seven sets with 30sec rest between each set. Reps to failure. Then I did an eighth set and increase the weight by 20%. Dont ya love it? Get. At. Me.

8.)Then did 45min on the stairstepper. Oh yeah he did.

Here ya go.....a little....just a little bit of some front double....

Leavin nethin behind.....except a FREAKEN blaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaze!!!!!!!!!! Out for blood.

    TRAIN HAAAAAAAAARD!
