Say you did 150 push ups 5 days a week, how long would it take to see big results?

You're all going to flame me for this routine but I used to do pushups 5x a week for 5 months. It worked in sets of 3 weeks starting with 20 pushups a day; week 1 feet raised 1 foot off ground, week 2 raised 3 feet, week 3 raised 4 feet. Then week 4 would add 10 pushups and restart at 1 foot off the ground. Within two months, my traps grew about 3-4 inches, my chest got slightly bigger, and triceps grew a decent amount.
I continued this routine until I hit 100 pushups (20x5) a day, with minimal additional results, and then stopped.

Push ups are useless unless you are on unfit motherfukker.
Why would you do 100 reps of ANYTHING multiple days a week? Unless you're training for a world record, forget about it. Push ups could be an effective exercise if weight was added to them, but those should be a last resort as any form of flat bench press kicks the **** out of them.
If you traps grew 3-4 inches, you must have no neck.Top 3 Lana Del Rey albums:

all who think that bodyweight is useless here's something that should make you think twice. This guy looks better than 90% of the lifters ive seen in person and it's not only him it's his whole crew. Even a 65 year old man looks great from near 1000 push ups and hundreds of pull ups a day. I wouldn't do it unless i didn't have money but it can work, and before people say chicken legs, if you don't have access to weights...Build your own sled or do hill sprints. Some MMA fighters have tree trunk legs from hill sprints alone. Again i wouldn't do it cuz I love strength training with heavy weights but it can be done.Lifetime PR's
Squat 445 w/ wraps (405 raw no wraps)
Competition Bench 275
Deadlift 435
