    Personal Training at LA Fitness

For those who have taken personal training at LA Fitness or work there. What are the rates? How much does it cost per session, and if you sign up for a longer time, is it cheaper?

As a former LA Fitnes Personal Training Director, I would advise against training there. For about the same cost as other, locally owned gyms, you can get an hour session for what you would pay there for a 25 minute session... yes, 25 minutes. I would recommend that you research other smaller fitness companies because many of the larger ones will loop you into a contract. LA Fitness wanted us to sell 12 month 'agreements' (AKA Contracts), which sometimes included a $99 enrollment fee and a $50 processing fee, so that 149 plus your first month of sessions can range from $360 to almost 600+ dollars, up front, depending on what you wanted to do. Yes, there are sometimes specials on programs with lower rates, but in all honesty, if you would like to get more out of your dollar, find somewhere else. For instance my gym, we do packages of hour long sessions starting around $60 per session for a 5 pack to $55 per session for packages of 10 or more. Just do your research, and try not to get closed on a program that will not live up to all the promises the sales guys will tell you.
