Apparently, isopropyloctopamine is being marketed as a fat loss supplement however, isopropyloctopamine [betaphrine] is an uncontrolled drug and is a non-DSHEA compliant ingredient, as evidenced by the FDA's ruling against Syntech Enterprises in 2004 when they tried to introduce betaphrine to the market as an NDI.
"Isopropyloctopamine" (aka "Betaphrine"), a "synthetically produced substance that has not been approved by the FDA and is prohibited from being sold without authorization under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetc Act."
(Deary, et al. v. Vital Pharm., Inc., No. 2:12-cv-04314 (C.D. Cal. complaint filed on May 18, 2012)).
Since we're on the subject of non-DSHEA compliance, methylsynephrine [which neuron has discussd ad nauseum] is also not found in nature and I am curious as to wether the "methylsynephrine" content from various manufacturers is actually the pharmacodynamically inferior beta-O-methylsynephrine.... or is it the uncontrolled drug oxilofrine. ---> *crickets jpg.*
Any company representatives care to elaborate on this issue?

I honestly don't care as long as it is on the label and it is safe.
How about we talk about its safety, compared to other stimulants -- that's a worthy discussion. We don't have threads up about "DMAA - what are we ingesting?" despite the FDA declaring it a drug. Someone with knowledge should differentiate the safety concerns vs compliance BS. Being unsafe usually = non-compliant, but non-compliant does not = unsafe.
It's also worth noting that iForce doesn't manufacture anything that isn't looked over and tested by the FDA, so it seems interesting that it would have made it to market if there were a problem. However beautiful the strategy, you should occasionally look at the results - Dr. John Berardi

Good thread NH. I ask "why do we care?"
What I mean is this:
Is the worry due to:
1. Danger(most important IMO)
2. Unlevel playing field
3. More ridicule of the industry
4. Bc the FDA says so(least important IMO)
5. Other
I agree with D3 with appreciation it is on the label so we can research and decide for ourselves. If there is danger that is a problem, if there is gonna be more ridicule and FDA back lash that is a problem, but the other reasons I don't care too much about as I think the FDA is corrupt and I am not an industry insider/competing product maker.
If you know of ill effects please post sir.Trust the Process

Just found this in my user CP [I guess this is as close to an answer as we'll get]:
"Octopamine is found naturally, and isopropyl octompamine HCL = Betaphrine"
Response:
1. Isopropyloctopamine is a synthetically-derived structural intermediate of octopamine.
2. It's not naturally occurring.
3. It's an uncontrolled drug.
4. It's not DSHEA-compliant.~
