Designer checkin in again. Just recently moved across the country and made the switch to working for myself. Helped a couple miscers out with design work in the past and am in the middle of a few projects with others. Just recently sold a website & corresponding business plan for a sensory deprivation tank business (search it on youtube or listen to Joe Rogan if you don't know what it is). This thread has an absolute TON of great information in it.
Hit me up if you need any yourself!

anyone that needs some sort of hustles to save money etc
some ideas:
craigslist hustle (did this a little bit, works good when you buy low from craigslist and flip on ebay, at least in my city)
auctions: liquidation auctions, industrial auctions, closed businesses etc just places getting rid of chit for cheap and quickly
you can easily flip the items and make some decent amount of pay, sometimes really good depending on the item
do your research

Giving this thread a bump guys.
Im looking at a business idea on a product to sell.
I need your help brain storming some ideas of niche products that could be successful if marketed correctly.
For example, I have seen success of people who sell things like Hydraulic valves, fruit tree netting, adhesives etc.

been trying to resurrect this for a while lol.
Completely changed my plans since the start of the thread, now working on an e-commerce site that seems to take up all of my free time.
It's been so hard trying to do all the site layout/ad creation/SEO/inventory all by myself, would love a partner with the same drive and vision.
There's literally no time left for anything else in the day. I'm not even close to a finished product.
So happy to have the new sub-forum.If you are not willing to risk the unusual, you will have to settle for the ordinary

do you have an actual company or just the product you made on your own?
Easiest way is to just send emails to the retailers you want to do business with. Every company will have contact information on their website. I started emailing everyone I could, without anyone knowing who I am, until I started to get positive feedback (I am the one looking to buy, in my case). Many people will say no, eventually someone will be interested, there is your foot in the door.
You could also find out about trade shows, as this is where many companies look at/discuss new ideas and products. I'm not sure what type of product you have, so can't offer much help.If you are not willing to risk the unusual, you will have to settle for the ordinary

Don't have sh-t yet, just came up with the idea yesterday. My product is a simple poster geared towards the outdoor world. It shouldn't take too much to make so not a high risk. I would just have to contact as many outfitters like REI as I can.
Also, if I do create this product and have someone custom make an image for me to print on a poster, what's stopping him or her from suing me for profiting off it?★☆★ Full-Time Philadelphia Eagles Fan ★☆★

Aiight.
Today I spent like an hour doing keyword research to see what topics I'm going to write about next.
Basic steps.
Come up with a few generic phrases
Install the addon Keyword Everywhere
Whack your phrase into ubersuggest.io
Copy paste the results into excel.
Add a new column on the end called 'total value', multiply the volume by the CPC.
Sort the keywords by that new 'total value' column.
Check the keyword difficulty with the Moz' tool (you can paste 20 in at a time)
Add these ranks to your spreadsheet and sort by them.
Find keywords with a decent total value but easy enough difficulty (sub 25).http://www.inklocations.com - Find the best tattoo artists, anywhere in the world.

I would think you have some kind of legal contract at the time they create a product, preventing them from any future suit, but then again I'm not a lawyer.
funny enough my company is specific for men's outerwear and accessories.
look at huckberry.com. that's the type of store I'm going for, but I plan to make it a lifestyle website, rather than just a store. If you are not willing to risk the unusual, you will have to settle for the ordinary

Hey guys, I’ve been working on a project for the past couple of months and would love to hear what you guys think about my website and my idea. I got the idea for StockGam.es after playing a stock stimulation for my university (and won) and when I saw the popularity of draftkings exploding. So I thought why not combine the two? As far as I know, there's nothing similar really.
1. You sign up for a contest (your automatically pooled into a free one for beginner players). You pay a entry fee to participate in the contest. There will be loads of different contests based on industry, skill level, only short selling or going long, margin etc etc.
2. You trade using which ever method you’d like just as if you were trading through a regular brokerage account, in real time. (this is already coded)
3. Your winnings will be paid out through Paypal (or wherever else)
I’ve made this so there is a lot of social aspects to it such as others seeing your recently traded stocks and ability to comment between players.
What do you think of the idea?
What do you think of the current layout? There is not much on the landing page, but here's a peak into the portal http://stockgam.es/project.php
What do you think of the domain?
You guys are welcome to leave your email on the page to get updates in the near future and would love to get some testers by the end of the weekend.
Thank you! Will rep for good replies!ChilloutSound.com - Relaxing songs of every genre

Hi All,
To start I would like to state that in all honesty I'm not an active Misc member, but I'm working on a project where I could use the feedback and tips from the Misc community.
So to explain the title in short, I am starting a blog where the main focus is on trying out and starting (mostly online) side businesses and explaining step by step how I do it and what the results are. Mainly because I'll be doing these projects either way and I thought it would be interesting for some people to read up on it and maybe even motivate them to try and start up something themselves and help them prevent certain pitfalls etc.
So I just “published” a first post, just in general to introduce the blog, and I have two main projects that I am working on at the moment that will be posted in respectively one and two months time. There is another list of possible ventures lined up that I will start working on once the other two are set in place. Obviously this is a way for me to promote my blog, but also to have feedback on it, to ask you guys about possible projects that you think would be interesting to integrate in the blog as well as general tips on how to market it and the projects.
If any of you have a certain side business that you would feel you could share with me, or I could write a post about it/try it out for the blog this would be highly appreciated as well.
So what are your thoughts about the concept? Shoot!
KR, AchievingAlpha
PS: If any of you would be interested on working together with me on this (especially with regards to marketing) , feel free to shoot me an email through the website! achieving-alphaDOTcom
