I am doubting that video for couple reasons...
-was posted a while ago about the uprising in Syria
-Punishments are usually done in public ( you can tell this from other punishments done in Iran, for instance a thread last time was made about a guy getting whipped for alcohol and another one in saudi i think for black magic both done in public)
- holding someones head like that as if it's a joke

In Islam, we believe that the Qur'an is the highest source of law. Nothing can come up against it. The hadith, or the sayings and recordings of the Prophets (pbuh) actions, are our second source of law. They help explain the Qur'an at times and give us guidance as to live day to day. “And obey God and obey the Messenger and beware (and fear God). Then if you turn away, know that our Messenger’s duty is to simply convey (the message) clearly." (5:92)

"But surely those who disbelieved after their belief and then went on increasing in their disbelief, never will their repentance be accepted; for they are those who have gone astray." (3:90)

"Any one who, after accepting faith in Allah, utters Unbelief,- except under compulsion, his heart remaining firm in Faith - but such as open their breast to Unbelief, on them is Wrath from Allah, and theirs will be a dreadful Penalty. This because they love the life of this world better than the Hereafter: and Allah will not guide those who reject Faith. Those are they whose hearts, ears, and eyes Allah has sealed up, and they take no heed. Without doubt, in the Hereafter they will perish. " (16:106-109)

As you can see, the Qur'an talks about apostates and never mentions a death penalty. In fact, Allah states that their repentance will never be accepted after they turn away. This means that they are alive afterwards! Not to be killed. It then speaks about how they will perish in the hereafter. No mention of death penalties.

These are just some selected verses.

Thus, 2 things could have happened in my opinion, the hadith from the Prophet (pbuh) were carried out before these verses were revealed, and were thus permissable at the time. Once these verses were revaled the laws would have changed. (This was common in the time of the Prophet, new verses brought new laws).

Or, the hadith were simply fabricated.

This is just my opinion. Any truth in this text is from Allah, and any mistakes and falsehoods in this text are from myself, and I seek forgiveness for them.

Did not watch video, but it stands as a stark contrast to a video I DID watch earlier today of a halal animal-herder/slaughterer, he makes sure the animals are in peace and says a bit of a prayer before slaughtering them mercifully. Was kinda sad to watch but slitting the throat is the best way to kill an animal. My point is, this Muslim man tried his best to bring peace and tranquility to the animals. I think there are no "bad races/religions", just åssholes of every kind in the world.
