    New to working out, Looking for fundamental must reads

    Hello all,

    I'm fairly new to working out (and this will be my first post here), mostly going off of what friends or family have told me but that isn't always guaranteed to yield the best success. A little nudge in the right direction would help.

    I've done a lot of reading throughout this forum and there's just a sheer amount of information and different types of workouts or routines that I am sort of at a loss. However as I've been looking through the various sub forums, even within this forum some stickies don't always match and with the multitudes of misleading information out there It's really hard to keep my facts straight.

    I'm currently 139lbs
    5'8
    And my goal is to maybe put on 20 or so lbs of muscle and take 5-10 lbs of fat off.
    I've been looking at the kris Gethin workout, but more information before my investment would be ideal.
