He became a small sensation while presenting Big Brother's Big Mouth some years ago back in England. He worked for years and years on stand-up comedy and has (in my opinion) great sets. He was well-known in England for being a master seducer, which all started when he got with Kate Moss. He had a few other television shows, a best-selling autobiography and a popular radio show that established a tight fan base for him long before he came to America and then produced popular films once there.

I want to hate him but I actually find him pretty funny. He's a comedian and does movies also. The guy has the best drug stories tho. I saw him on some talk show saying about how he had to go on a plane and was freaking out becuase as a drug addict having no drugs when you get there is crazy. He got a bunch of heroin and said he just put it in his skin pocket and went to the other country no problem. They asked what is a skin pocket and he said its your ******* lol.

I'm no fanboy of his, but as a standup comedian he is obviously an intelligent and insightful guy, with a wicked sense of humour which I enjoy.
As a "celebrity", he's a dick, from what little I know about "popular culture".
Saying that, since he became "famous" his standup has declined, become much more self-referential, less funny.
I've not seen any of his films.
Because I could tell they would be shyt.
