30 day challenge to change your life for the better
I'm not gonna write out how you feel afterwards because that's one of the reasons behind this challenge, to discover it yourself. You have to do EXACTLY what this post says, if you discount even one thing you won't be content as you could've been. Economic brahs will know this, small change in one thing=big reaction in something else. Take one thing out=results decreased by a massive amount.
Some of these things are also temporary so I'm not telling you to cut these out forever. Sex isn't bad, weed (imo) isn't bad, IIFYM might not be bad, but you have to disregard all this for a month and then as you start doing them again what you feel will be on another level. Law #16- use absence to increase respect
No ejaculation
You have to completely cut this out. So unless you have a wet dream, which is improbable to happen in our time period, you have to make sure that you don't ejaculate. This includes fapping (do some more research on this, this should be permanent) and sex (temporary). No porn, no edging, no pulling out before coming, absolutely nothing that will release your semen even a small amount.
Why?
1) Very likely everyone reading this faps regularly= dopamine receptors have decreased, you've become lazy and content with what you have and other activities like hanging out with friends, sense of achievement have become less pleasurable because of this. How this works is very simple: everything releases dopmine. fapping releases a lot in one big spurt (no pun) which goes away quickly compared to achieving an A on an exam, which releases a good amount but over a certain period. Fappers are happy for about 10 seconds while fapping and than afterwards feel guilty/depressed until they fap again. Getting an A, you feel good for days/weeks/months afterwards.
If I line 5 miscers up and get a big hose with water and start spraying it at you, eventually most of you will fall. Same thing with dopamine receptors. A lot of dopamine in quick succession will kill some of the receptors. This reduces the amount of dopamine you get from ANYTHING, and thus you need to fap again to feel good because nothing else (except hardcore drugs) release that much dopamine in such a short time.
2) Semen retention increases testosterone. I was a semi-pro tennis player and one of the first things we were taught was to not ejaculate for at least 2 weeks before an important tournament. Boxers do this, pro football and tennis players, quite a few lifters I know do this. Mohammad Ali never had sex 2 months before a fight and claimed this is what made him unbeatable. People/government will tell you this is BS and one of the reasons (IMO) is that society wants you to have less aggression, maybe even subconsciously. Why do you think porn/fapping is widely accepted and encouraged now when in the old days it was taboo and considered bad for you?
A research on the relationship between ejaculation and serum testosterone level in men.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to gain understanding of the relationship between ejaculation and serum testosterone level in men. The serum testosterone concentrations of 28 volunteers were investigated daily during abstinence periods after ejaculation for two phases. The authors found that the fluctuations of testosterone levels from the 2nd to 5th day of abstinence were minimal. On the 7th day of abstinence, however, a clear peak of serum testosterone appeared, reaching 145.7% of the baseline ( P < 0.01). No regular fluctuation was observed following continuous abstinence after the peak. Ejaculation is the precondition and beginning of the special periodic serum testosterone level variations, which would not occur without ejaculation. The results showed that ejaculation-caused variations were characterized by a peak on the 7th day of abstinence; and that the effective time of an ejaculation is 7 days minimum. These data are the first to document the phenomenon of the periodic change in serum testosterone level; the correlation between ejaculation and periodic change in the serum testosterone level, and the pattern and characteristics of the periodic change.
ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/12659241
3) Sex will feel 10x better as will fapping if you revert back to it (which I highly advice against). If you have a gf it's likely that either you're bored with her sexually or she is with you, whatever little extent that may be to. If either of you have an attractive person available that you have a just as good connection with, you will want to be with that person. As I said, absence makes the heart grow fonder. Don't have sex for a month and it'll be like you're having sex with a new person and you and your gf will love that feeling. If your gf can't wait that long chances are she's a slut and has cheated already, fuk her and get a better girl.
No drugs
This includes cigarettes, weed, alcohol and every other recreational drug. You can't have a single puff/toke/sip/snort of anything. Cut EVERYTHING out. Hard to do I admit but the one thing every successful person has in this world is self-control.
Why?
Cigarettes: less oxygen, longer rest times during sets, can't run, coughing, linear progression towards cancer. (all this coming from a heavy ex smoker)
Weed: smoke and you'll probably end up breaking most of these rules. Increases your appetite for junk food which is one of the requirements, etc. This is temporary because I love my weed but necessary as well. Your tolerance will be so low after a month you'll be high after one toke which is a bonus of cutting this out.
Alcohol and other drugs: do I even need to say something here? do a quick 2 minute search and you'll see how bad alcohol is for you. People say "oh but I drink like once a week". If you lift, even once a week is incredibly bad for your body. It's unreasonable for some people to cut this out forever (which I recommend) but do so for 30 days and you'll enjoy this even more afterwards. Hopefully no one is on any hardcore drugs so won't write more about that.
No caffeine
I haven't done any research on this so can't provide any links or proof but when I started following this I worked through trial and error and as soon as I cut all caffeine out (no pre-workouts, no coffee) I noticed a massive change.
My own opinion on this is that you need to "level" yourself. When you take caffeine, your energy levels are increased temporarily but then they go all the way down after the effect passes and it stays that way for a while, till you drink more. You need to cut all caffeine out and you'll see how much more alert you are and how much more energy you have. I've done some research on this that's not worth posting but this restriction is mainly from trial and error.
Some of you might be fine not following this but if you're taking on this challenge please cut it out. I don't know how much it will effect you, but what if the effect is so big that you could've felt much better than you do after 30 days?
Eat clean and lift hard
A lot of you might do this anyway but for people who are on IIFYM, or people who don't lift as hard as you could, for one month it needs to be your goal to sweat at least one cup-worth every workout and to not eat ANY junk food, sweet, anything that isn't considered clean (you have to decide this) for just one month.
Why?
If you combine this with the other things I've posted, you'll get results in the gym you've never seen before. You'll learn self discipline which will make sure you go to the gym and work your hardest. You need to cut down on all junk food because this should also be a "cleansing" period, so eat whatever you consider healthy, lots of meat, veggies, fruits, nuts, etc. I don't want to write too much here because this is a bodybuilding forum and information is surrounding you so do your own research but what I'll say is make sure you're strict with your routine, never miss a session, lift heavy until you're sweating and eat as clean as you could. This is obviously the most important step.
Spend a maximum of 2 hours on the internet per day
Won't write too much because you all know how much time you spend on the internet and how bad it can be.
Don't force yourself off the internet completely, spend 2 hours on it each day but not a minute more. Do other stuff, go out, have a run, chill with your mates, play on your console, watch some tv (no kardashian bs, watch something educational) and most importantly READ BOOKS. Some books have legit changed my life completely. I have a lot of books to list but I don't want to overwhelm everyone so I'm just gonna name one book for now that after 30 days you should know inside out.
48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene
Read this book. Then read it again and analyze every law to a situation you've been in. So for the first law "Never outshine the master"... relate that to your situation. Did you ever say/do something to your boss that made him insecure and affected you as a consequence? was there a situation with your parents where if you reacted differently you would've got what you wanted? correlate these laws to your own situation and think to yourself what you could've done differently to ensure you got what you wanted. After that, read that book again but don't read anything else but just the laws. Memorize and each and every law.
This book is pretty long so this should take you a while. If you've read it already, do the other 2 steps I listed. I'll add another one after at least 10 people finish this.
DO ALL OF THIS FOR 30 DAYS.. 80% of you will read this thread and click on the misc link on top of it and go to a thread about a guy who's depressed as fuk and you'll be able to relate and that's fine, this challenge is something that a lot of you aren't capable of completing anyway. But if you do manage to do it, you'll never be able to relate to that guy again.
To people saying where's the fun in this, etc.. if most of the things you have to cut out are your main source of fun then this challenge will change your life even more. Those things will be 100x better afterwards. Remember this is not permanent, only 30 days and than you do what you want because by then you'll know what's bad for you and what isn't so hopefully you'll follow some of these for life.
Also, I'm 100% certain this works because I'm 6 months into following everything listed on this thread and I can't put into words how much my life has changed. I'll write my story up another time because this took me a long time to write and my fingers are aching lol
Challenge accepted: (Post "48" if you want to be included in this list. This tells me you read the thread and will follow all of the rules)

Impossible to cut down more for some people brah. You'll be amazed how addicted we are to the internet. Two hours is good, and if you read the books I list you'll be so interested you'll probably spend even less time and when you do go on internet, you'll look for discussion on these books (books aren't novels or some useless harry potter crap, will genuinely keep you interested)
Ok two posters above me, if at least 8 more people are interested I'll elaborate with proof etc. if not I'll pm you guys with some info. Really don't want to write so much for no reason lol.

Best and shortest way I can explain it is that you need to "level" yourself. When you take caffeine, your energy levels are increased temporarily but then they go all the way down after the effect passes and it stays that way for a while, till you drink more. You need to cut all caffeine out and you'll see how much more alert you are and how much more energy you have. I've done some research on this but this is mainly from trial and error. When I was originally starting this I followed a trial and error system and cutting out caffeine was the last big change I made that was noticeable.
No lol no ejaculation= no porn, no edging, no fapping, no sex.

ex 15 a day smoker. one of the most important things in that list is to stop cigs brah. I found running helped me a lot. Also something I didn't include, if you can get a dog. Dog will instantly make this challenge 10x easier.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ fapping is the hardest thing in that list to stop. after about a week it becomes the easiest.

I spent 2 months researching and doing trial and error with a lot of things that I'm sure you all do with a habit and those were the stuff that I came up with that had the biggest effect. If you take even one thing out it won't work like I want it to and then people will say that this whole thing doesn't work. If you want to do this, you have to cut out all of those things.
