    Too few calories?

Hello ladies. I have a female work aquaintance that is working on dropping a few pounds. I don't have exact numbers, but I think she is around 140lbs at 20-25% bf. She does some sort of instructor led p90\insanity\whatever type workout 5 days per week. She is eating ~1200cal per day. Based on posts I have seen in other weight loss type forums, I am wondering if this sounds too low? My research has been centered around a 170-200lb man and am not 100% sure what if any difference there may be for a moderate weight woman.
    The floundering has ended.

It's a bit too low - even P90X or Insanity would be recommending 1500-1800 at her size (I don't know what height she is but if she's anywhere in the average 5'2-5'8 range)

1200 is way too low...especially if she is just starting out.
