ugh this happens for every overhyped game. This is why I dont believe in hype or getting exceited for a video game. No game will be perfect.

There is always someone who does the same thing for every game. BF3, MW3, MW2, Black Ops, SC2, Skyrim, FF13, etc. I wouldnt be surprised if the same guy writes the same letters.

The strong majority of games by AA developers have been more than disappointing to say the least. They are motivated by money and nothing else. Just look at how many sequels are out now. Just look at how DLC has multiplied exponentially. Sadly, while there are some of us who see past their gimmicks and greed, others dont. Those are the ones to blame. Not so much the developers. We should go out and exterminate all who pay for DLC. Not that I dont think that developer time and money should be compensated, but it has gotten out of hand. Example, The DLC for Prototype 2 came out what, 9 days after release or something like that? There is no way that DLC was not complete before the game shipped on 4/24. They finished the game, cut it at the 80% mark, sold that at the retail $60, and the other 20%(or more) becomes DLC. They put the same amount of effort in, but now get $75+ for what they would normally receive $60 for. It is just good business.

Borderlands is an example of how to do DLC right. Hours and hours of gameplay, new missions, characters, weapons, items, environments, humor, tying the DLC back to the main story(Dr. "Ned", INAC, etc). I would have no problem paying for Borderlands type DLC.

pretty much every new game that came out has been ****. they should be getting better not worse. skyrim, mass effect 3, im going to assume new starcraft, diablo 3, theres probably more but i can't think of them right now. skyrim and mass effect pissed me off just because i played the older ones and they were amazing.

An update on my call, got through after an hour and was told that I couldn't get a refund as it was outside the 4 day limit. Have now emailed support at the suggestion of the customer support line.

Interesting ... i was surprised by how easy i was able to get a refund. Mght be cuse i asked for a refund through the ticket prior to making the call.

This is what happened when i called.

i had prepared all the reasons i was gonna give on why i want to refund the game. When they guy answered he asked me for my account details to confirm i am the owner. After all that ...

All i said was , i read on the forums that i was able to get a refund within 30 days if i was not happy with the game. How do i go about doing that.

He said no problem you will get your refund within 5-10 business days. I was so shocked i said thats it i dont have to do anything else .

He said no thats it i have updated the ticket you submitted.

It was that easy.

The bottom line is this. IF THE GAME WAS ACTUALLY GOOD, there wouldnt be this many hate threads all over this forum as well as the battle.net forum. This is not a game "Trolls" hate, and for anyone who says "well there is always going to be a few select people who dont like the game." WRONG. This game sucks. Its not an opinion. ITS A FACT. Whether you realize it now, or realize in 2 months. Diablo 3 is a failure. And time will show every single person that.

Ya, ive been playing for a couple weeks now, lvl 60, with good gear, its boring AF now, just a grind. RMAH is gonna be like 100k for $2 or something. There is a lot of money flow, I can make 3mil a day in the game grinding the same spot (if i get lucky, all u need is that one item).

I still havent bought game (played it for couple of hours at friend's place, was ok) and i dont think i will buy it just coz of RMAH, not that i will use it but its just the fact that i hate blizzard for being money craving whore that stopped making games for players. The expectations in the game industry are ridiculous now, anything above 50 or so hours is SOLID for any game, and well worth the return for that spent. My friends absolutely adore it and can't stop playing it, subjective opinions are subjective

i was so hyped, went to midnight release etc. played 40 hrs in like 5 days would have hit lvl 60 in less than a week until everything came to me and i realized the limitless flaws of this game

Yeah, I played through it on Normal, and haven't bothered to boot it up since. I'm certainly not getting my $60 worth of entertainment out of it. I've debated getting a refund. Maybe I'll try out Nightmare tonight and see if I like it any better. If I don't I'll probably follow suit and get a refund.

I loved it, but man it got old quick. Can't wait for Torchlight II. Runic made a fun game with Torchlight, so I hope lightning can strike twice there.

I happen to be having alot of fun playin the game. I didn't get burnt out on it like most people did. I play maybe 2-3 hours every other day and it's still a blast. Alot of good things about the game with some flaws of course. Probably the most ridiculous argument I've seen is that Blizzard created Diablo 3 JUST for the money. Really? All Blizzard seems to do is bend over backwards to please people. Players complain, Blizzard listens, and they fix things.

That being said, they're also a company. RMAH was made because there was a market for in-game items. Most people used to get them on other sites, now they'll get it from Blizzard. Why is that such a big deal? No one is forcing you to buy gear off the RMAH. And if you do, you can do it 'legally' through RMAH. If you're into spending money on game items, why does it matter where it comes from?

Another point about the greed argument....Blizzard is giving you a FULL REFUND for the digital copy of the game if you're not satisfied. According to those have done it, there were no questions asked and the refunds were issued. How often does a company give a full refund on a product a customer most likely spent 80+ hours entertaining themselves with? Yea, really greedy on their part.

All that aside, there are alot of improvements the game needs, and I have no doubt that the issues will be addressed in the coming months. In the mean time, I'll enjoy playing the game, living life, and not complaining that Diablo 3 isn't like WoW or D2.

Big mistake that they didn't include PvP in the initial release. Part of the reason why I played D2 for so many years was gear-hunting so I could wreck people in PvP. PvM lovers are a minority.

This game is streamlined and simplified. Item design is a joke and boils down to weapon dam, primary stat, VIT, resistances, attack speed and life on hit. It's also now following the model of itemization that WoW uses. There is no interaction between item design and character build. There is hardly any depth to character build as well.

Your post is a fanboy post. I can see why a WoW player would like D3, because D3 is WoW Lite. It's not Diablo. It's just using the Diablo name and Diablo World, but the game is not a Diablo game. It's a gimmick to get you on the RMAH shelling out transaction fees and 15% cuts to Blizzard for the horribly, amateurish and uninspiring item design in this game.

Much laughs are going to be had in a few years when Blizzard ramps up the hype train again for the console launch of this pile of feces they call Diablo 3.

I've enjoyed every game Blizzard has ever put out and seen them for the quality they were. I don't like where WoW went so I cannot say the same for the Wotlk and Cata expansions, but still could give the game credit for what it was.

Diablo 3 brings that to a halt. It's a streamlined, dumb-downed pile of dog turd that is aimed squarely at casual gamers; see : 95% of the WoW player base. Casual not in the sense of how much time they invest, but casual in the sense of how they need easy and non-challenging games to merely entertain them; see 5 man heroic farces, raid finder and normal raiding difficulty jokes, collecting pets and mounts and other useless farmville type activities.

Before you herp derp Inferno talk. I made it to the start of Act 3 Inferno solo on a WD, so no DH or Sorc exploits, not exploiting using boneweave armors to block the path of mobs either or some of the other available exploits in this bug-ridden game that are not patched yet. It's not hard, it's just plain tedious. I would hope anyone with enough time to play will be able to do the same, or you're plain horrible at games.

But that is who Blizzard designs their games for now; casuals who game for nothing more than simple time-killing entertainment, not for challenge or depth. Diablo 3 is the personification of their new design philosophy in that vein.

Feel free to regurgitate whatever marketing tripe you've heard from Blizzard in their '1 on 1 dev youtube videos', Blizzcon, or webpage updates. You've bought in hook, line and sinker. You're the casual bad gamer who Blizzard markets to and tells you that you're not bad, but awesome.

You're actually bad and enjoy simplicity. But you're the majority, so enjoy your garbage from Blizzard.
