ok, so apparently a cupcake will make me go from 188 lbs to 300 lbs .....haha funny! I think I need a new scale. Another one bites the dust! My kids reek havoc on scales, the other day my 5 year old was weighing a kitchen chair...or at least trying to. Soooooo.....I weighed on the gym scale this morning and it said...get ready for it...215 lbs...wtf!? Conspiracy! It's a conspiracy! I'm trying to stay positive here, but I'm really upset to be honest. I'll get another scale this weekend and see if I can figure this crap out...I really hope my last scale wasn't off by that much. If it was I was kidding myself about my progress in some ways, but not in others. I am really glad I took pictures and measured because if not then this would be pretty devastating. In any case, "it is what it is" to quote a million reality tv stars (and I use that term loosely). So excuse me while I list what I have accomplished so I don't throw something through a wall (and yes I just got back from the gym and I'm all pumped up and aggressive right now). lol
-In 3 months I've lost 20 1/2 inches.
-I look better.
-I feel better.
-I am getting complimented by others on my progress (so it's not in my head).
-I have more stamina.
-I am finally good at something sporty (weightlifting) for the first time in my life....or at the very least I feel comfortable doing it.
-I have more confidence (coming more from weightlifting than weight loss).
- I've lowered my bf%
- I've met some really awesome people both online and in the gym.
- I've been effectively managing depression med free since I started lifting weights. (went med free before that, but wasn't managing it as well as I am now)
- I have less social anxiety since I started lifting weights.(to quote my dad, "who would have thunk it")
- I'm happier.
- What was always great in the bedroom is now even better...boom chicka bow wow.
- I can run around with my kids more and not be exhausted.
- And one of the best things....my dad ( who used to run 11 miles a day from high school till he was in his 40s except a few spurts where he stopped for a while) has started watching what he eats and exercising again and he called me to help him be accountable. He has put on some weight, he has diabetes and uses insulin daily, so I've worried about him alot. He could still run circles around me at age 52 and he's a drummer who practices hours a day, but it's great to see him take diet more seriously and start walk/jogging again. He's never lifted weights, but he's always had a physical labor job and played drums so he has some strength and muscle....but he's always loved running. It's good to see him getting back into it.

June 8th...184.4!
I think I saw an initial rush of water weight fall off this week, but hey I'll take it lol. Tomorrow will have to be some damage control, I am going to watch the Belmont and have a little fun so it will be a bit of a battle tomorrow. Hopefully everyone saw some good results this week too!

June 8th: 163 lbs.
Would have been more (Wed I was at 161.8) but I came down with the flu yesterday and unfortunately what I did eat, was not healthy at all. Most people lose weight when they are sick, not me, I gain! Well, after going to the doc, lots of meds, 2 naps and spending the day in bed....I'm feeling better already. Back at it!ACE Personal Trainer
