Shoulder press and middle back pain

Started working out for the first time in 8 months and I did seated shoulder presses today. The seat didn't really have any support so I didn't use it. Now whenever I bend my neck forward I get a sharp pain in my lower to mid trap. I recall over arching my back and leaning backwards as I thought it hit my shoulders more effectively (obviously not). Has this happened to anyone before? I'm currently icing it. I probably strained it a little bit. Help out please

yeah, that makes sense. When you're doing shoulder press, there's lots of compression on the back, as the weight is pushing down on it. Stay away from this until you're better
