Indeed. Even if you get the help of a dietitian, they'll still want to work closely with your doctor since you have a presumably life threatening condition. We don't have that opportunity, so any advice given would be very risky.

haha touche! they have not been able to come up with a diagnosis yet. its something i developed while i was in iraq. it might sound very strange, but pretty much my heart will shut off, and then kick back on in between 15 and 60 seconds. so i die then just come back lke nothing happened. ive had every cardiologist on the west side of the US come to look at me. and they dont know why yet. but they think its iraq related.

You mean you pass out/have your heart stop then miraculously jump start it again??

Have they caught it in person/on tests?

    How often does it happen?

I suspect a considerable amount of hyperbole, but that said, have you been tested for atrioventricular conduction disease?

He perhaps suffers from a transient cardiac dysrhythmia, which would present clearly if the patent wears a Holter monitor.

That appears to be an umbrella term as opposed to a specific condition resulting in prolonged syncope.

Hence the reason Pug said "a" cardiac dysrrhythmia as he cannot know what exactly is going on with this kid's heart. It was meant to be an umbrella term.

yea based on the info above that's really all you can deduce whether its conduction related or related to pacemaker cells would be interesting to know though.

they caught it in a tilt table test back in december. and earlier last year when i was brought to a hospitol where my heart was jumping from 80bpm to 200bpm. the first suggestion was A triple Fib which they later thought was fazlebazle sycopy. after the test in december they realized it is a neuro electirical problem where my heart turns off and on like a relay switch. and now my normal bpm are 35-45 awake and below 30 when i sleep. so i am on a steroid to keep my heart rate up but they still say i have the heart of a triathelete but they want to do a pacemaker in the near future.

and i was on a heart monitor 2 times last year to see if there was any arithmea. they only saw 2 come across but didnt seem to bad. the tilt table test is supposed to make you faint/ pass out between 5-7 mins and i made it to 9mins until my heart gave out. the point of the test is to see if changing your equilibrium will cause any changes to your heart rythem

Maybe you could see if you could get into a cardiac rehab clinic (hopefully insurance or uncle sam will pay for it with a Dr.'s referral?) so you could start exercising under supervision of cardiac rehab therapists and a physician so they can help you develop a program, monitor you, etc. etc.
