Have you ever had your wisdom teeth removed? Very painful recovery. I couldn't lift because it would only prolong the healing. I had to go back to the surgeon multiple times bc of my dry sockets....was on pain meds for about 4 weeks which caused me to be drowsy and couldn't really function properly. Anyway I'm healed now so it's all good. One of the worst experiences of my life!

HELLO. IT IS I. MISCDEMEANOR. AKA BRITTANY. AKA BRITT. AKA DERPINA. I HAVE RETURNED FROM HIDING AND I'M READY TO LOG AGAIN. PLS RESPOND

Alright guys so as some of you may know, I started the 100k transformation challenge on this site yesterday. This means it's cutting season! Guess who put on more than 20lbs in only 4 short months. This fat ass right here. Yes I did. The scale, not that I really give a damn, read 167 at one point but with water weight and bloat I'm sure that was inaccurate. Anyway, I weighed in at 157 today. I started my cut 1 week ago. The previous week I was eating around maintenance and with the lower carbs I noticed I lost some bloat and water weight. Here are some pics! Don't fap too hard please (kidding). Here's my weight gain as of 1-02...not too appealing imo

    I was about 164 here on 1-02

Here I am today at 157 on 1-14

I can't pose for chit. I need help with that.

Ok so my routine hasn't changed much. The main thing that I've changed are my lower body days, one day I focus more on quads another for hamstrings. Still squatting and deadlifting both days. I just noticed my hamstrings need more work and I haven't been training them hard like I should. I may have to revise my "power" days such as today since I'm leaning more towards hypertrophy now. As far as my weight loss goals go, I'm cutting at 2100 and getting between 160-200g of pro, no more than 70g fat. Carbs fluctuate...as I continue my cut I will steadily drop calories but didn't want to start off so harsh. Trying to keep my sanity here! Oh and no more peanut butter. Had enough of that. Last but not least I'm doing core work at the end of each session since my lower back is still weak and it's uncomfortable sometimes. I do belted OHP now :/

    Upper

    Bench
    WU 65 x 10
    90 x 10
    95 x 10
    100 x 9

    OHP
    70 x 8 x 2
    75 x 5

    BB Rows
    120 x 6 x 2
    125 x 6

    Hammer Curls
    30 x 10 x 2
    35 x 10

    BB Lying Tricep Extensions
    40 x 10
    50 x 6 x 2

    Alternating DB Curls
    30 x 10 x 3

    CGBP
    80 x 8
    85 x 10 x 2

    Cable Crunches
    70 x 15 x 3

I'll be alternating between hyperextensions and ab work depending on the day (as suggested by Ka0s) since he says I never give him credit No hypers before lower days! As of right now I haven't started any cardio. As I get further into my cut I may gradually get back into it. Anyway thanks for still being subbed despite my absence lately. I was kind of missing it tbqh. If I bold something that stands for PR so hopefully you will see a lot of bold lol
    Patience, dedication, drive.

Have you been doing RDL's and GM's? Start doing 4 sets of 6-10 reps (RDL's) and 4x5 (GM). You can do each movement on your 'lower days' (Mon & Thu or Tue & Fri, whatever).

For the lower back, try doing sandbag work. It has done wonders for my low back and grip strength. Get one of those duffel bags and fill it up with little plates. I know you train at a posh gym, so carrying in a bag of sand (lols) would be a bitch. Then do this:

Pick it up as shown in the picture above and place it on a bench/stool. Lift the bag, place on bench and set it back down. Do that 50 times and then die afterwords.

Yes I do that sht twice a week. I love RDL's and GM's. Actually only did RDL's today since I will be doing a lot more hamstring work this Friday on my next lower day. So the sandbag thing is kind of like cable pullthroughs amirite? Same concept, high reps, moderate weight, lower back DOMS of peace. This sounds like one of those things I wouldn't log about, I'd just do it for me. Lol at die afterwards...my sessions are long as fuark as it is but I may try it since my grip also needs improvement. Still refuse to use straps

    Dear log,

That feel when your hip thrusting partner isn't there and you use a 90lb barbell instead :/ Some weird guy came up next to me on my 8th rep squatting 135 trying to spot me and I said, "I don't need help" then he was all like OH OK and walked away...lol. Strong wtf...he literally stopped what he was doing and came over really fast like I was struggling and my reaction was uhhh wtf is he doing

Here's a sumo vid. Sorry 'bout the angle. Also, strong breathing lol....oh sumo how I've missed you! I belt for deads now

    205 x 5 sumo

    Squats
    Bar WU x 20
    135 x 8
    140 x 8
    145 x 6

    Sumo
    155 x 10
    185 x 5
    205 x 5 x 2

    Walking BB Lunges
    70 x 20 x 2

    Leg Press
    360 x 8
    360 x 10
    410 x 8

    Leg Extensions
    125 x 12
    130 x 10
    135 x 10

    Hip Thrusts
90 x 10 x 3 me gusta at that burn when you really squeeze and hold bc the weight is so light

    RDLs
    135 x 8 x 3

    Smith Calves
    90 x 15 x 3

    Hyperextensions
    25 x 10 x 3

I may alternate between barbell glute bridges and hip thrusts. I just love the better ROM doing hip thrusts, even if the weight is light. Tbh I haven't tried 135 yet straight from the floor but I may have to try it next time to see if I can get it on my own. The set up is so difficult/awkward though. Well that's all

Oh and my macros for the day: 57F 186C 186P you mirin cuz? Still lacking 160 cals :/ I'm not hungry and what is this

I hate those kind of spotters too. Would mutilate.

No, the SB lift is nothing like a pullthrough. You'll feel it more in your upper back and lumbar. Doesn't do much for the hams.

Geeez Max. I'm just building back up to it. This would have been impossible to do just a couple weeks ago since my lower back just started feeling better. I'm working on it though

Lol notsureifsrs? I was deadlifting 205 when I hurt my back...something that wasn't even a very heavy weight for me at the time.

Not sure how you spot hip thrusts but I'd usually just have someone set the bar on me when my back is on the bench. I can do 225 that way but if I tried doing that myself it just wouldn't happen

uhm, you should be setting your back on the bench then, with hips in flexion, lifting the bar off the ground. no spotter needed.
