I'm in need of a recommendation. I need high hold, low shine product that has a pleasant smell. I have some old stuff I've used in the past left over and none of them are quite doing the job. I used American Crew Fiber today, Paul Mitchell Mitch yesterday, Hans de Fuko Quicksand + Hybridized Wax for a few days and Hans de Fuko Sponge wax the other day. I was told Hair Toffee was great in an unrelated thread. What else fits this criteria and can be acquired rather easily and won't cost $30+?

If you're on no shampoo, do you have to use no hair products to get the full benefit? Or can you use product but just wash it out with Apple Cider vinegar or some other equivalent, without losing the benefit of no shampoo.

The only products I've been using are natural oils, but I'm only two weeks in so I'm still washing with baking soda/acv every couple days because my hair isn't fully adjusted yet
Wash your hair with 1 cup water+1 tablespoon baking soda then 1 cup water+1 table spoon apple cider vinegar evrey day at first to control the grease, then as time goes on you can do this less and less

I want to grow my hair out and get a quiff. What type of cut should I get at my barbers? I usually get real short on the sides and leave it long on the top. The problem is my hair goes mental when it grows out especially the sides and grows over my ears. Also how do I achieve the quiff? I've been trying to do it now but it just doesn't work :/

Ok misc, I have come to the conclusion that I need pomade or something similar. What pomade is water based / least greasy to use? Or any products other than pomade that I can slick my curly/wavy and thick hair with. Thanks.

Wouldn't it be pointless to do no shampoo if you're planning on swimming in the pool this summer? I'd assume that pool chemicals like chlorine are probably more harsh on your hair and probably strip more **** out than shampoo, which is specifically designed for your hair.

Anybody tried straightening their hair with Keratin treatments? Mines down to between my shoulder blades and I've been toying with the idea for a while

I have done it twice, once myself with a product i found at CVS and it worked ok, the second time it was done by my girlfriend with professional grade stuff and it came out really good.
It didin't leave it 100% straight but it greatly shortened the time it took to iron my hair, also helped me look not as crazy when it wasn't styled.
Natty Hair - 15 minutes iron
CVS Treatment - 7 mins

No shampoo brahs. Do you have problems with flakes/dandruff? My hair is fine when shampooing regularly, but no poo will cause flakes. No shampoo makes hair looks so much better, need the no poo.

you asian brah? anyways, you can get a quiff, but you'll just have to keep the sides short (2.5 clipper guard) and get regular haircuts ever 3-4 weeks. Getting regular haircuts to maintain it was annoying as phuck, but girls will mire like crazy if you can pull it off.
what do you mean achieve it? you mean you have a problem with getting the top to stick up?
