    Keto or not?

    Well I'm cutting currently, but I'm wondering if I should try the keto diet. I've tried before, but I cheated and had to start over too many times lol. I know I can do it, I just have to set my mind to it. But anyway, should I try the keto diet or just go low carb. I don't want to lose a lot/any strength if possible.

    No. If it led to you 'cheating', it isn't optimal because it isn't a diet you can follow.

    IIFYM

    The only point of doing keto/low carb is if you prefer eating foods high in fat/protein. There is no increase in fat loss by doing keto/low carb

    When I mean I cheated, I ended up eating 25g carbs, which was cheating for me. Low carb (<50g) for me is easy, but the high fat doesn't appeal to me, so I'm not sure what to do.

    low carbing is not necessary for fat loss....eat foods you like..as long as IIFYM...
