a lot of guys do cheat too but not as much as the wives and gfs that stay home. we go under the UCMJ and would be charged with adultery even though I seen female Marines get away with cheating many times. if a married guy cheats he's really screwing himself over. if a married woman cheats she's just cheating. it was pretty hard for me to cheat while deployed. you know being in a combat zone surrounded by guys and shiit

Quite honestly coming from a veteran who has seen this a million times, if your asking then you most likely aren't ready for the commitment. The best option or staying together through military life is marriage so that you can be stationed with him. Because truth be told military men cheat too but not as much as the wives and girlfriends of military men though. He more than likely will not get his choice of duty stations. And if you don't already have trust issues they will most likely arise not saying that your a cheater or he is however all of the infidelity issues he sees with his fellow airmen and their wives will raise suspicions I'm sure. Ultimately the decision is yours and I am an outsider offering my story. I hope you find this information helpful.

Right, and I been friends with guys in the military and granted they were single, they've told me stories that tell me rules are bent and even high ups are going places they are supposed to be and doing things they aren't supposed to do, but they can't really say much to you because they have more to lose.
So female personnel can usually get away with cheating on their spouses, but guys not so much?

I'm going from what I personally have seen. not by stories I've heard. I've only seen 2 female Marines get in trouble for it out of many. not going to get in detail here about them but they disgust me specially the last one I seen that didn't get in trouble and should have. I've always been against cheating and also higher ups and others throwing their politics around to get out of trouble but that's a whole another beast. no place is perfect

I hope you guys are serious because something about military men makes them always want to get married and have kids young. Plus he won't be around much so you wanna be able to have faith that he isn't cheating with the thirsty hoes in his unit or prostitutes from overseas. Can't help you with the rest but those are some things to consider.

I honestly am not worried about the cheating aspect once so ever. Him and I have been dating long distance for about a year now, and I trust him wholeheartedly as he does me. I'm sure y'all are going to give me **** about being only 21 and in a LDR too, but that's not what I was looking for. I'm confident in our relationship, and all I wanted to know was what to expect. I don't have any doubts about us making it work, I just wanted to know what I could possibly be getting myself into because it is his decision and I want to be able to support him with whatever choice he makes as best I can so thank you to those who provided constructive and helpful advice.

Best of luck to you honey, I wish you well.
But I want you to remember this thread, and remember my words. As the cute bartender down the street penetrates you from behind and leaves a handprint on your ass because you were lonely and teehee drank too much, remember that women who cheat on servicemen are the lowest of the low and may god have mercy on your soul

I know of only one relationship (one of my bros) that has lasted. He's been deployed twice, and she stayed at home raising their daughter. Fantastic woman, you'd have to meet her to realize that women like her actually exist...i Know I never would have believed it.
But yeah, for every one of her, there's like a million cheating whores floating around military bases. I was at a bar in Killeen, TX right before I deployed and there was this chick sitting next to us flirting with some older dude. She was fat, decent face, and talking about how her husband was deployed, flashing her ring for everyone to see, and all the while flirting hardcore with this dude. Eventually, she left the bar with him. Yep, that's military wives for you. And that's just one of a thousand stories I could tell.

Pretty much why the female opinion is never valued, because it's always from females who "would never do that, are not like that, have never done that ect.".
Women just can't be honest, especially when they think there are men reading whatever they write. Always the opportunist, gotta peddle that ring finger nomsayin'?
I guess they have their faces and boobies all over their bodyspace so they have to talk up a front to look like a decent person.
