^Engineering 100k is nice. However, I recently graduated in engineering, now working. I look at my boss/managers - they are all just on the daily grind like everyone else. probly on 150k but I dont look at them as being successful.. at the end of the day they work for someone else, 5 days a week. Then go home and probly think about work some more.
**** that, set high goals now do everything you can to achieve them at least then when your 50 and working full time for someone else you gave it a shot

I keep a list with 3 categories I look at every morning. Greatest life goals. What I have to do this year to achieve those goals. What I have to do today to help accomplish those goals. Have to stay focused, everyday. baby steps.

define sucsess?
if your only using your net worth and bussines acomplishments to define sucsess then your doing it wrong.
sucsess=happiness, at the moment i work 27 hours a week between a bar and a gym. i enjoy every hour of my life including the ones whilest im working, i earn around £200 a week and still live at home but im happy all day every day, im soon going to be working full time as a bar manager, again a job i love doing witch will give me a comftable wage of around £24,000 a year. for me that will be enough to get a flat and enjoy my life. i dont care about a flash car or what my investment portfolio looks like, i want to enjoy time with my freinds going the gym and pulling women. this may change later in life and when or if it does i will change my life to suit my new happiness goals, chasing wealth like a hungry lion chasing a zebra will never make me happy though

I'm a very simple person, i don't want kids. I have nephews and nieces to spoil. I already own my own house. I work a job i mostly enjoy and i have a girlfriend that could suck a golf ball through a garden hose.
give me a definition of success and i'll find someone who disagrees with you completely. Be happy and you are already infront of 95% of the world.

If you think like that you weren't happy with your in the first place.
I don't envy anyone except those people who are doing a job they love by all heart. But that's it. Someone owns a house? I don't give a phuck. Someone owns an expensive car? I couldn't care less. I have load of free time, zero depts and I love my hobbies. Give me about 300k € so I can buy a flat and don't have to pay rent, from that moment on I'll be one of the happiest people on this planet. (srs)If it's not fun, why do it?

Yeah, unless something very unforeseen happens within 5 years I will have finished my degree, paid off my student loans, will be opening my own gym, and will have my own home.
