Am hoping there is someone out there in my boat and can answer my question for me.
Isit possible for skinny men to lift heavy weights? (I met one chap a few years back, same heigh and weight as me and he said he can bench 100kg - I dont know if he was chatting crap or not).
I am 5'9 and weigh just 57kg. I always had trouble gaining weight, and prefer to do low reps heavy weights. I dont mind being this size as long as my strength levels are adequate.
My lifting stats are as follows:
Flat bench 57.5kg (own body weight)
Incline bench 50kg
Bicep dumbell curls 20kg per arm
Lat pulldown medium grip 45kg
Lat pulldown close grip 60kg
Ultimately, I'd be wanting to bench about 80kg by the end of this year (I dont know if it will be possible in 7months).
