Love Handles

Are they the last to go? I've been dieting down for the last 6 weeks and making great progress, except in my back, side, waist area. I know spot fat reduction isn't possible but is it genetics or what?

Worst area for a guy man, that'll be the last place it comes off in most places. I know that feel. All you can do is keep cutting.

Lower belly fat and love handles are generally the "stubborn fat" areas on men and thus the last to go, yes.

crazy, i have like ZERO love handles...and I've been cutting from 291 pounds. I just have an annoying pouch of fat on my lower stomach that wants to permanently live there

I have love handles that drive me nuts also. I can see some reduction in them so far, but not enough for my liking yet lol.

They are indeed the last place to go. On my cuts I can count all 6 abs before the last of that lower back fat finally goes away.

It's really discouraging to see my back shot, when I'm seeing progress every where else. I guess I just need to keep on grinding and cutting away! Fugh!

On the plus side you have a really good underlying base of muscle.

Lol isn't that the truth.

I tend to get overly critical of myself while cutting, obsessing over each little part that I want to make better. The other day I was giving my lower back a few pinches to see how the progress was going and my wife scoffed when I referred to them as love handles. I tend to notice it in my shadow when I'm out for my runs, she swears she never even notices it.

Why do you think i stopped taking back progress pics? lolz
Stomach is completely flat, nothing on it, but the last 3 pounds my love handle area has gone down around 50%, like rapidly.
I really hate how i have to be lean for them to go away, yet some guys are overweight and have none...the devil's luck.

Im cutting specifically for love handle reduction, literally.

My right love handle shrunk at a much more rapid rate than my left... I am looking forward to when I'm low bf% and don't have to worry about these anymore.
