they are good, i eat a normal ben and jerrys pint of ice cream on the day i do cardio since i can actually fit it into caloric intake but the skinnycow stuff is great if you only have a small slot of calories for the rest of the day.
see this too:

I was at costco the other day and they had skinny cow ice cream sandwiches on sale. Twenty sandwiches for like $7.50. They taste pretty damn good.
I didn't do any research into them but how are they so low in calories? Is it simply ice cream made with skim milk? Some people just don't want to hear the simplicity of it all, because then there's no excuse when they fail.

I'll share 2 treats I have that you might find this to be a healthy alternative and there is actually some nutritional value to it.
1. Frozen berries (blackberries, raspberries, and blue berries) They are listed at 70 calories for 126 grams. Add 3/4 cup of skim milk and a packet of truvia. The milk turns to slush and freezes onto the berries. 137 calories
2. Same berries I go with less then a full serving 100 grams mixed with 200 grams of plain greek yogurt and one serving of sugar free strawberry glaze. If you leave it sit for a little while in the fridge or even the freezer the yogurt will start to freeze. This has protein and very little fat. To be honest I see no need to ever eat ice cream! That should come in at around 180 calories and you are getting a lot bigger serving. If you want to cut the calories back then just make a smaller portion.A job half finished is still a job undone.

Ben and Jerry's rocks for sure. Haven't had a pint since I started dieting . I agree most "low fat" diet type foods taste like crap. I saw the Skinny Cow Mint Ice Cream Sandwiches (I love mint ice cream ) that were only 140 calories so I had to give em a try. Tastes like real mint ice cream in between a chocolate cookie sandwich that sticks to your fingers like it's supposed to so you can lick your fingers clean. Love em! Saw the ones at Costco and I think they are 150 calories.

Agreed. Also, they use Sorbitol. The last time I ate one, I had the most terrible time with my bowels. Okay for some, but if you have sensitivity to those sugar alcohols that cause digestive problems, it's evil
And not to get off topic, but with everyone preaching/promoting/sheep-following the low fat/non fat diet craze, I've found it INCREDIBLY hard to meet my fat macros without having to down massive quantities of nuts and seeds. Especially on a cut when every calorie counts."Do you have an erection, man?"
"I just broke a personal record on deadlift."
"And now I have an erection."

I have had to look into lower calorie icecream myself. I have 2 pints of B&J at home, but once those are gone ill have to switch. B&J is usually like 270 calories per half cup, where most other icecreams arew 110-150 calories a cup. I can eat like 2x more icecream for the same calories, so im going to.
Yes, B&J is delicous, but i like to eat a lot of food in my 1360 calories per day (I do not make up calories for my cardio either), and i love icecream.

i have certainly demolished plenty of skinny cows in my day and they are quite delicious. there is no comparison to some real ben and jerrys, but ive started buying pints from different brands, like turkey hill and blue bunny. their ice cream may not be as dense, but its still damn tasty and usually significantly lower cals per serving. ive found if i can keep the cals to 150/serving max, i can fit that in pretty easily for a whole pint.

I was hooked on skinny cow ice cream, it is fawking delicious IMHO! all of them!
I quit buying them, I now just add my favorite whey protein powder and mix it in my Greek yogurt when I want something sweet after dinner or before bed. My flavored whey and Greek yogurt concoction ends up with about 50 grams of protein and about 200 calories.
I do still miss my skinny cow ice cream sandwiches though!

I just found these Mini fudge ice cream bars sitting next to the Ezekiel bread in my grocery store today....each one 50 cals/2 fat/1 protein/10 carbs (3 fiber).....had one with lunch...it's like soft serve ice cream on a stick....nice end to my lunch.
edit: Name of the company is "So Delicious" if anyone wants to try and find it, they had Neapolitan/chocolate/vanilla ice cream sandwiches and bars as well ranging from 90-170 cals, and on average 7-22g carbs/1g protein/2-4g fat....I think all of them were lactose free too.Last edited by Naeem11; 05-16-2012 at 10:16 AM.
