Yea I tried it out for a week. I pretty much already knew it wouldn't be effective for all 3 lifts because I've had friends do it from anywhere between 30 and 70+ days. Their squat went up, but they were too miserable to train bench and deadlift properly.
So you're saying I'm doin' it wrong? Lol. I guess putting 400 lbs on my total in 16 months of doing it wrong is pretty good.
Never had one.

First set we tried where I set up, then put the boards on myself and then he gave me a liftoff. It worked but I descended slow and barely touched the boards because I was scared they were move or fall. The next 2 sets we changed it up. He gave me the lift off and then I held it at lockout while he went around to the other side and held the boards for me. It felt better this way because I could descend faster and bounce a bit off the boards. Waiting at lockout felt like an eternity though, started seeing stars and my shoulders were starting to hurt. Good thing it was only 280 lbs.
Not sure. First time I've implemented board presses in a routine so we'll see how it goes. I believe I am 2 weeks away from where I stalled on my 5x5 and 1x3 last time. So we'll see if I can blast through it. I also went from middle finger on the rings to ring finger on the rings for this cycle. My left shoulder was bothering me a bit so I thought it might be from such a wide grip. Everything feels good for now.1372 @ 205
