Hey folks, I was wondering what, if any, phone apps each of you used for counting your calories and macros. I have used one in the past, but before I go trying to search for it again I thought I might get some input from the nutrition section. Any recommendations?
Thanks.

If you are precise about macros and want a simple app without all the extra BS that the free apps have... My Macros+ is by far the best app. It's actually on sale for mothers day. Only 99 cents! It saved me hours during my peak week. It was developed by a natural pro bodybuilder as well, so it has exactly what you need. He is very accessible as well, so you can contact him many different ways with suggestions. What I hated about the free apps is they take forever to get setup! I don't want to sign up to their website, just give me a simple app that's easy to input what I want.

I aske this same question once I've tried all of the mentioned and I have found that myfitnesspal has been most user friendly. I mean what's easier then scanning a barcode or just searing the database for the correct food. And when I say database. The database is gigantic. I even found products that are only sold locally. The database however, is created by users however which could have a possibility for human error. For the Marco calculator that they use, it's way off and not ment for bbing. You can simply log on to the Internet > my home > my goals and change the macro goals to your own calculations. Highly recommended. It's a quick and easy app to use

Saying myfitnesspal is the "best" is stupid, that's you opinion based on what? Sure it works, but it was a huge pain to get setup, it makes you sign up for their website, answer BS questions, suggests macros I don't want, also rounds off decimal points (although I've heard that's been updated). It's simply the most popular free app, not "the best". It's not as customizable as I prefer, so for me? It's complete garbage. The majority of you won't ever use My Macros+ because it's not free.

Why are you such a pain in the ass all the time when it comes to macro and calorie calculators? In every thread about them you and your "My Macros+" pop up and you start trashing every other calculator..
So what if they make you sign up? You also signed up for BB.com and ******** and gmail and w/e that you use every single day of your life. So what if they make you answer questions? It only takes a minute.
So what if they give you macro suggestions you don't want? You can change the ratios whenever you want.
And no one wants to pay a dollar for an app no one besides you ever tried.

Why is he not allowed to have an opinion about an app and state this? Granted, I've not read any of his previous posts, nor have I ever used any of the afforementioned calculators, so I don't know if he's being a "pain in the ass" at other times. His points in this thread, are however, quite reasonable.
His personal preference is obviously MyMacro+, and he even explains why it works better for him. What's the point of flaming him?
