Just an fyi, I follow IIFYM. I'm curious on everyone's thoughts on eating a 500 caloric surplus on training days, and eating a 500 deficit on rest days as opposed to just eating 500+ every day to bulk and -500 every day to cut? I'm currently cutting, but I'd imagine this could be a way to slowly but effectively recomposition ones body? In theory you'd be eating enough to gain on the training days, and eating little enough to cut on the rest days. Thoughts?

I stay at a deficit everyday but up carbs on certain days...many pros i read on and other articles kind of suggest the opposite....on rest days make this ur refeed with minimal to no cardio...reason being so u dont deplete glycogen ur adding back to muscles. This may apply more so if ur on a low carb cut...not sure ur goal macros.
