I have had two long-running journals the past three years and kept them both updated religiously. The first one reached over 10,000 posts and the second one was heading there. It becomes quite tedious in a busy life, therefore, I have decided to start this thread just as a place to give occasional training and diet updates, as well as to post a few progress pics along the way.
Quick bio:
Started training in December 2008 after many years out of the gym. This is a progress picture from March 2012:

My journal: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=140991491 Age is NOT an acceptable excuse.
Played with dinosaurs as a child. Back then everyone was thin; it was a matter of out-running the raptors or being one of their meals.

Friday Training:
Hit the gym Friday for Legs and Biceps. I'm pretty limited on leg work right now due to the hernia. I was able to hit 4 sets of light squats and followed up with some machine work. Also hit biceps with preacher curls and high cable curls. I'm not a believer in reshaping the muscle that you were genetically given, but I think the HCC's are starting to give me a little better peak. I always hold them at the FDB pose and flex as hard as I can for 3-4 seconds. Weekend off, but Chest and Triceps on Monday.David

Monday Training:
Normally I work chest on Monday but wasn't in the mood so I switched up to Back instead. Did 22 sets, starting with BTN pulldowns, which are hitting me good. Followed up with bb rows. I was able to bump the weight on my top set to 265 x 10. Finished with some work at the cable station: Carlmans, Cobras and Seated Rows. Great workout.David

Training Update:
Wednesday was some direct arm work and Thursday was my off day. Today, I hit legs. Decided to test the waters a little with my hernia and do some front squats. It has been a while on fronts. Focused on form and went deep with rep ranges of 10-12. No huge weight but the burn in the quads was strong. Did 6 sets of them. Also did some machine leg work and hit calves on the leg press.
Body fat is dropping. I'll probably do a measurement on Sunday.
Also been working on designing a new training program. Will probably post the specifics in here early next week.David
