Working out 6 times a week.
For about 3 weeks I have been working out 6 times a week and rest on Sunday. What I've been doing is M-W is hypertrophy and T-S is Strength days. Is this ok? How many of you workout 6 times a week. And will I be overtraining?

Toooooo much lifting...Pick one of two-hypertrophy or strength...It's recommended you do strength for a few months first, then move on to hypertrophy (and then end with endurance if you want to look like a bodybuilder). I'm personally doing German Volume Training, which is 10x10's for size. However, the workout demands after a certain set time that I do strength for a few weeks just so my muscles don't get too adapted on hypertrophy, but remember, this is by weeks, not by days.
Get up and train while your opponent is sleeping!

Overtraining is in the mind. You're 16. Your body heals incredibly fast. As long as you take 48 hours between working a muscle group you'll be fine.
Progress/Goals
Bench Press: 275lbs/315lbs
Arms: 16in./17in
Squat: 345lbs/405lbs
Deadlift: 415lbs/495lbs

Ofcourse you'd make gains. You think working out is gonna make you weaker? Derp.

I do 7 days a week, it's all about adaptation. Once you get used to it you'll be seeing great gains.

Depends on your diet, if your working out 6 days a week with a huge calorie deficit then it's a no no
-
(not so serious)
i do 3 days on, 1 off, repeat - hitting each muscle group every 4 days.
I find this right for me, some people recover faster than others
Above all supplements, the key to success lies in your own willingness

Strength and aesthetically speaking.
But your sarcasm is unneeded. I was on a cut and made constant gains.

You can do whatever you want.

Isos were 10-15 reps.

its very hard to overtrain brah, just eat over maintinence and you should be set, just maybe go with a strength based routine if your starting out and your lifts are low

Exactly what he said. I am 16 as well and workout 6 times a week resting on sundays and it works perfectly. The reason my body can take it is because I workout certain body parts each day allowing me to rest those body parts throughout the week. So maybe I'll do triceps and biceps on monday then do other stuff throughout the week then do triceps and biceps again on friday and by then those muscles will be healed and fresh to train again.
Stats:
Bench- 1x175
Clean- 1x170
Squat- 1x260

he was replying to the other guy saying how you should rest your muscle group for atleast 48 hours, so it takes time to heal and get bigger.... but as the replyer stated that he worked out 6 days a week and having only 24 hour rest day

Hold your head up
Well Jay Cutler said that as long you eat enough you can't/won't overtrain your body. Coming from him it is pretty easy for me to believe.
I got a vision for the life that's right in front of me
I got a right, I got a reason, got a destiny
I know exactly where I'm headed and I’m never looking back.
