    I really wanted burgers for lunch, but buns were moldy. Tearin' off the mold and eating anyway. Y'all?

    Really depends one two things
    How hungry i am and how bad the mold is.
    I know its bad but ive had bread before and went back for a second piece and noticed the hole loaf had small spots on it and was like meh that first one wasnt real bad and im not dead yet lol

    Thing is the spores from that mold are already throughout the loaf by the time it's big enough to see on a slice. You eat mold all the time without even knowing it. How many cheeses are what they are because of mold content? Gorogonzola, Roquefort, bleu... During WWII, Russian soldiers ate moldy bread to fight infections because they didn't have access to penicillin. There was even a scientist during the Black Plague who ate moldy bread mixed in a cup of warm water and yeast to fight the infection st the first signs of the disease and lived.

    Food mold gets a really bad rap. It's not like you're licking the walls in the basement.

    Agreed, original beer made by Egyptions 4000 BC was made with yeast that had mold on it. People drank it because they didn't get sick, well, and other reasons, like making unwashed hairy chicks look hot....

    I don't eat bread unless it's from a bottle and I've never noticed mold in there (the bottles are dark and so's the beer, who can tell?).
