Any Lat attachments that makes "engaging your lats" or "feeling" better?
I don't really ever feel my lats get taxed from back workouts. I know it's mostly my form and I have been trying low weight to really concentrate.
Is there anything out there like a lat blaster I could get to help?
Thanks guys, appreciate it.

What kind of exercises and equipment are you using currently?
It may just be a matter of bumping up the weight so that your lats have to work harder.

I tried a range of weights and nothing really seems to hit it.
I currently just have the regular lat pulldown bar and a 40" angled pro style lat bar.
I'm thinking of getting a smaller pro style lat bar so my grip isn't as wide making pull my shoulder blades back easier to really get a good back pump.

and any of you guys ever heard of the "Lat Assassin" looks pretty bad ass, not sure if it's just a marketing gimmick.

I would think that the wide 40" bar should engage the lats pretty well. If you're not feeling it in the lats, where are you feeling it?
What happens when you use weights that are at or near your own body weight?

Wide grip is involving more upper back (for me).
Try a neutral grip attachment where the hands are close together.

I've heard good things about the upside down lat pulldown bar pictured 2nd from the bottom in the link. I've never used one but have been thinking about buying one. I've read reviews about people getting tremendous pumps in the lats using this bar.

Are you referring to this:

I bought one of these a few weeks ago and really like it. It takes a little getting used to, but it is nice being able to change grips between sets so easily and it has a really good feel.

my first thought was that he was referring to the isolator.
Although that thing is pretty cool, I saw another one that has a angle in the center as well.

I find it interesting that they have this listed on ebay WITH free shipping for 20$ less than their own website . I think that's definitely worth noting to anyone who is interested in picking one up. I don't think they offer free shipping on their website.

EDIT- 10$ cheaper, but with the shipping being free, you're still saving a good amount of money regardless buying these through their Ebay store.

I do wide grip weighted pullups and on the lat pull down use an attachment similar to this:

My lats are always pretty sore for ~2 days

You've already identified the problem; it's not the equipment.
Cut the weight you're using by 50%, and work to fully extend your arms and shoulders up, and then concentrate on pulling your shoulder blades down as far as possible with each rep. Stay as upright as possible, with only enough lean-back to allow the bar to come down as far as you can pull it. Perform the reps slowly and smoothly with no momentum and strive to feel your lats working. Don't add weight until you eventually reach this point; it may take one workout, or a dozen.
Try to think about pulling with your elbows rather than your hands; this will help take your biceps out of the movement and put more of the work on the target.
When you get to a point where you can feel your lats doing the work with the lighter load and you gradually add weight, you'll eventually get to a point where your grip will become a factor. When you get to this point either use chalk or straps to keep your failing grip from ending the set early.
No brain, no gain.
You can't out-train bad nutrition.

I'll add to this - use the false grip, where your thumbs are on the same side as your fingers. It will help take the biceps out as well.

Use isoflex straps. They help with that quite a bit, and are additionally useful if your hands/wrist/elbows every get injured.

Where are these Isoflex straps? Tried searching for them but nothing came up.
The isolator looks pretty good but expensive.
I liked the angled lat assassin.

On another note, I've always done behind the neck pulldowns, but I have heard controversy over whether or not that increases degenerative changes to the shoulder joint. Problem is pulldowns in front just don't feel as 'good' to me...
That assassin bar looks cool. I guess I'd get the angled assassin if I were to pick between angled and non-angled???
P.S., although with the neutral grip, the angle really shouldn't make a difference.
