    What does 10-15 reps mean

    What does it mean when a routine says :

    bench press: 3 sets x 10-15 reps


    I am confused about the rep part. 10-15 reps, does it mean you have to hit 10,11,12,13,14 or 15 reps? Kind of confused.

    Same with 10-12 reps. How do you know when to hit that rep? How about progression. I have always used a steady number. As soon as I get there, I increase the weight.

    It could mean many things really.

    But I'm fairly certain it means once you can do 15 reps with your weight, you increase it.

    It means you can choose a rep number you like between the interval 10 - 15.

    for me, lets say i'm doing calves 12-15 reps. This is how my progression goes

    90x12,12,12

    90x15,14,12

    90x15,15,15

    95x12,12,12

    and so on
