more powerviolence-y/grindy
and my favorite that's close to the genre though not traditional hardcore

I prefer Death Metal over the mindless chugging and pig squealing of modern day Deathcore. I do enjoy my good dose of Hardcore/Grindcore as well.

The old favs are still though, Megadeth, Slayer, Pantera, etc. Used to go to a lot of local heavy/thrash metal gigs in Sydney years ago, was a lot of fun.

The band (especially the vocalist) made huge progress over the past few singles. To tell you the truth they're probably top 5 in my book now. I seriously can't wait for this album in July, it'll probably be the best Metalcore album in of the year or even the past few years.

I'm more into the classic metal/rock scene and a big thrash guy. Overkill has a pretty solid new album out so does Accept. Been loving Walls of Jericho lately by Helloween some of my favorite workout stuff.
Also been listening to a ton of maiden recently in anticipation for their show I can't wait, forgot how good albums like Brave New World or Seventh son are, it's unreal how they have no clunkers out of their whole discography. Forgot about songs like:
