Great Bar! I sold my other two bars that were rusting and bent and bought this Stainless Steel Olympic bar from Gtech Fitness.
They have an Ivanko bar for $840, But the GP Industries bar had everything I wanted for less.
It has a tensile strength of 210,000 PSI, 28.5 mm grip, gun metal finish, meets I.P.F Specifications, center knurling, and it was only $499.
The customer service at Gtech is great. I originally placed my order online for a different GP Industries bar. I went to like them on ********, and saw a post for a NEW GP Super Power Bar with a higher tensile strength. I called them up shortly after and they put a message on my account that I wanted to change bars. 7:30 that night they E-mailed me to tell me know it was taken care of.
I definitely recommend GTech Fitness.

That's a sexy bar !
Nice vid, man.
I wish I was strong enough to bend bars lol
So you got rid of the mystery bar like I have? Never could figure out the brand on that thing. I still use it for squats.[]---[] Equipment Crew Member No 7

That is an ugly bar, and I don't want one. The welds look terrible, the knurling looks too sharp.
Negged.

Wondering if you can get this one without knurling going all way up to sleeves to save J-Hooks from excessive wear
GP Industries FAQ says you can specify that
http://www.gpindinc.com/olympic-bars...c-bar-faq.html
"NOTE: If you want a bar to one of these specs you may see accelerated wear to painted or protective surfaces on benches or racks from contact with knurling. PLEASE specify if you DO NOT want a bar to spec."
BTW, never heard of that company.
Bars look very nice, is that stainless steel all way through or just plating.Last edited by Andrew_WOT; 05-05-2012 at 12:39 PM.
