kinda bro science...yes having developed abs help, but a lot is how you control your breathing and taking the hit
rich franklin basically got wrecked by body shots from silva both times
Scott Smith
Charles McKarthy when Loiseau kicked him
IK if you count Brock Lesnar
Waylon Lowe
Frank Shamrock when he fought Bas

Yeah...Roy Nelson's never been stopped by a bodyshot either.

If you refer to a fighter who you've never met in real life as "my boy" as though their performance somehow reflects well on you for simply being a fan, you're a lame ass.

See this is why I believe him
hardly any of those guys you named have defined abs
McKarthy?
Smith
Lesnar Idk if I should count cause his abs were probably at their weakest coming off of surgery and he's not in the best of shape
The only 2 you named with defined abs, Franklin and Shamrock both ate those bodyshots and didn't get dropped by them
What PPD said about breathing is the right answer, although if there was possibly a fighter I could believe is physically unable to take a punch it would be Gabe Ruediger.

Scott Smith is another guy in particular who can't take body shots. iron chin, glass body.
Knees to the body are a whole different animal, especially one from Overeem.

you mad you can't name at least 1 guy with a legit 6 pack to get hurt by bodyshots.
you mad Gulliard is right?
i have not lost any argument.
many of them have 6 pacs
lets not forget the fact that you are making the connection of a six pac meaning you can take a body shot. Which shows me you have never even trained or fought. Anyone who has had any instruction knows to keep their core tight while training sparring or doing anything. The secret to not getting sent to church by a good bodyshot is preventive medicine. Keeping your core tight and good posture

Whoa, whoa, whoa now....
swearimnatty...uh, buddy....you're not going to come in here, start a thread looking for an argument, then a decent video with loads of body shots on guys who are lean then close the thread like you "won".
And Tito's abs aren't soft, so you were already down when ftwrestler posted that video.

Yeah, I get accused of closing every thread in this place...people forget that OPs can close the threads also. You'd be surprised how many thread starters close their own threads.
This one just kind of stood out when he started with the "you mad" bs when he hadn't proven squat.

just wondering if there is truth to what Melvin says here about having a soft stomach
come to think of it I can't think of a single fighter with defined abs to get stopped by a body shot.
Withstanding a body shot is acquired through core strength, mental strength, and experience. My gym had this thing were if you came late you had to do 5 minute body shots, and im not talking liquor and cleavage.
Reudiger was dropped by that shot because he a) didn't see it coming and b) was already tiring out and clearly didn't have his core tight.
