Hi. New and reading the stickys. Have a question about calculating BMR. Doing the mufflin one as I dont know my body fat %
Is this right?
9.99x weight in kg. + 6.25x hight in cm. - 4.92 x age. - 161
So it would be
609.39 + 984.25 - 162.36 - 161.
1270? Really? I have to eat LESS than that to cut? I'm I doing it right?
I'm 5'2 135 age 33. Sedentary.

Your BMR is the amount of calories you would burn if you did absolutely nothing (think coma). You need to multiply that by your activity factor to get actual maintenance calories, and from that is where you adjust by +/- about 10-20% for bulking or cutting.
So, if you took 1.5 for activity (I think that's moderate if you end up going to the gym for a few days/week, I haven't looked at the chart in eons), it would be 1270 x 1.5 = 1905. Take off, say 15% (286 cals) for cutting cals of approximately 1620 or so. Divide into appropriate macros. However, that is only theoretical - stick with that cal level for a few weeks and see how the scale changes before adjusting as needed.Gym PRs:
SQ: 360 x 1, BP: 165 x 1, DL: 330 x 2, OHP: 110 x 2
Best meet lifts (raw w/wraps):
SQ: 365, BP: 155, DL: 350, Elite total of 870 @165
Closest thing to a log, but better cause it's vids! = www.youtube.com/user/birdiefu
