Attempted to commit suicide.
Planning 20 million dollar law suit
The **** man??
**** this ****.. I'm at a loss of wordsApparently an apology from the Drug Enforcement Agency isn't good enough for Daniel Chong, a 23 year old University of San Diego engineering student, he's moving forward with a lawsuit against the agency. In the early morning hours of April 21, 2012 the student was grabbed out of a home by the DEA for being in an apartment which residents and guests were celebrating "4/20", the unofficial national drug day where people get together and smoke marijuana. Chong was swept up in a raid of the apartment, then left at DEA San Diego headquarters in a cell for four days handcuffed without access to a toilet, water, food or the ability to contact an attorney. Chong resolved to drink his own urine to keep from dehydrating and also attempted suicide later, breaking his glasses, using the glass to cut his wrists and swallowing the glass fragments. He also used the glass attempting to write the words "Sorry Mom." Chong says he lost approximately 15 pounds during the ordeal and according to his attorney, nearly died.
Chong yelled for help and kicked the door when he heard others in other rooms, however no one came to his rescue. Eventually, a DEA agent opened the cell on April 25th and called paramedics after seeing Chong's condition and the victim spent five days in the hospital recovering and was released this past Sunday.
DEA agent in San Diego, William R. Sherman, said in a news release that he was "deeply troubled" by what happened to Chong. "I extend my deepest apologies (to) the young man," he said. The statement was released yesterday from the agency, a week after the incident and after several media reports of the incident. Regardless of the apology, Chong's attorney says he plans to file a $20 million lawsuit against the agency in coming days.
The DEA and law enforcement has a long history of killing innocent Americans in the name of the War on Drugs. Busting down the wrong door, shooting Americans not involved in any crimes and planting evidence on innocent victims to put them in jail for crimes they never committed. Yet arrests in the Drug War have not declined under President Obama, in fact, they are on pace to exceed former President Bush's reign. The rhetoric we hear from his administration they are easing up on the War on Drugs is clearly false. Obama's administration is also bringing in the IRS to bankrupt legitimate marijuana dispensary businesses in California by eliminating the dedecutions any other business in America is permitted to utilize.
Chong was never charged with any crime by the DEA and will not be charged in the future. Ironically, the DEA's actions were to enforce a law where no victim existed except, as is often the case, the people they arrest or detain become the victims of the irrational drug policy of President Obama.
This isn't even surprising to me..
**** you oblivios *******s who support the law.. You all deserve round houses to the face

you can go without food for a month or more in extreme circumstances
some people could last for a week at the most without water before dying. vast majority would die before a week. dehydration kills you much faster than starvation. and serious thirst is maddening. like it can literally drive a person insane, he probably tried to kill himself because the pain of extreme thirst was unbearable. try not eating or drinking anything for three days; I bet the contents of my bank account you couldn't do it without caving to the desire to drink.++ Positive Crew ++

We complain after a few hours without food, this kid sat in a dark room, no food, no water, no one to talk to for 5 days, with the assumption that he was going to be in there forever. If we were thrown in a room for 120 hours without human contact food or water, wouldn't most of us would turn a little insane.

The dude won a $20 mill. settlement.
Pros: $20 mill.
Cons: Unintentional "dummy" for the movie, "Saw".
