I remember reading about Kevin tearing his pec back when it happened. All the reports back then said it was while doing flyes. What's your source on the 600-pound benchpress?

After the first minute he says bench pressing 600lbs
Ive also heard Shawn Ray say, whenever he goes on about flat bench being the #1 cause of injury, he mentions Kevin. On more than 1 occasion, the bfto 99 and the first roundtable off the top of my head.

I don't get it, though. 20 years ago everyone was told he tore it doing light incline flyes and it was sort of a freak accident, sort of like Victor blowing out a knee on light lunges before the AC a few years ago.
Levrone's injury was said to have been that it was torn in a way that it healed well with the surgery and it didn't distort his physique. Unlike the common bench injuries (Freeman, DeMey, Benfatto, Allen). It all made sense.
Now the story has changed and that he was doing 600 pound benches and it blew. Did he tell all the reporters in all the magazines false info back in the day for some reason? Something just seems fishy. No what I'm sayin'?
I know that video was posted to "set the record straight" but other than Levrone, who's going to start the pec-torn-while-doing-flyes story? Doesn't make sense.
Dorian was the man and he is definitely one of my favourite figures in bodybuilding, but i dunno, i dont see how he is better than flex wheeler. Flex basically perfected the human body with his physique. Flawless.

Maybe hes just lying today to make it sound less embarrassing.
But tearing your pec doing light dumbbell flyes? He tore it off the bone. Shhit happens, but something like that to Kevin of all people?
