The only reason i ask is because I have low t and I get weekly shots for it but my level as of now is 164 so I'm wondering if that is even enough to produce anything or would working out be a waste at least until the test. starts to raise it

Ya know, this is actually a pretty good question. As much as we kvetch about our T levels, it would be good to know how much it takes for a given level of mass (roughly of course). If you can build and maintain 185lbs @ 6% at 200mg of T (I'm pulling that number out of the left side of my ass), I think a lot of us might be more inclined to be happy with what we have.

The only problem is there are A LOT of physicians that don't have a clue what they are doing when it comes to this. My test levels were 140 and the doc I was going to wanted to put me on 100 mg of prop every 2 weeks. Ummmmm I had done research beforehand and asked him had he lost his f'n mind.

I believe it only increases for a few hours after lifting.
I'm at the low end of normal (>300 is low, I'm at 350) and needing to go see another doctor, since mine isn't too concerned about the other side effects I've been having from the lower T. I've been doing a lot of research on it and I'm surprised you're still that low with 2 shots a week! I think it might be time to switch the types of injections or increase the dosage! Good luck man, and don't quit, every little bit helps!“The problem with many hypertrophy-based programs is that they leave out the strength component. You might get bigger as a result of the program, but if you don’t get any stronger you’re still a chump in my book. That’s right, I don’t care how big you are, if you aren’t strong you’re a sham. Having big muscles and no strength is the training equivalent of wearing a strap-on. All show and no go. End of story.” - Jim Wendler
