This is truly sick, the users and founders of 9gag should feel horrible and should face consequences

9gag is one of the most disgusting, immoral and incomprehensible websites on the internet and the worst part of it all is that it has always been this way. As the creator of all internet memes, the website has been solely about making fun of minorities and victims of all sorts for far too long. Memes such as "I can count to potato" and "retard girl" cannot be tolerated in our society and 9gag is a haven for these disgusting macro images. 9gag is the poison of the internet and it is utterly disgusting that it has tainted it for this long. This recent event had me in tears. No person should be treated like that, no matter their condition. I doubt that the government will even care enough to take down the website/put limitations on it, but something has to be done about it. If these terrible acts keep up on the internet (our largest showcase of human free will) what will the future generations think of us? 9gag must be stopped.

I find this site disgusting. They made a series of poor choices which shouldn't be tolerated by the rest of the internet.

Free Speech:

Respecting free speech is also respecting speech you don't like. That's important to do because one day something important might need to be said that everyone will hate, but it will be true, and need to be said.

In our culture you let the market (people and their choices) decide what gets promoted and what doesn't. Most of us don't care to make fun of weaker people and so we don't support this website and ones like it. Eventually it will dry up and go away due to lack of popularity, or it will simply continue to exist largely ignored.
