I think I understand the benefits to take GDAs like slin sane, when to take them and why (high carb meals, pre bed in the absence of carbs). My questions are as follows:
-Is there a major difference between r-ala and slin sane/glycobol outside of the added vascularity?
-I have read it would be bad to take slin sane/glycobol after lifting, why is this? Wouldn't it aid in pushing nutrients into muscle cells, especially during a cut when a higher percentage of daily carb intake is? Would R-ala be bad to take post workout as well?
-Would slin sane/glycobol be good precontest (dumb question, I assume the answer is yes)?
- If so, would it be worth it to take it daily, even on off days, and which is better: slin sane or glycobol
-Would it be advisable to take even with peak week carb load?

Slin-Sane and Glycobol are a bit more compehensive formulas and should offer better results at what they are proposed to do over one single ingredient.
Not bad but unecessary as Glut-4 will already be high after training to begin with. Use with your other meals for best results.
I like the pre-bed dose I wake up nice and dry the next morning. Not sure on the exact science but I enjoyed it.
Yes use daily for optimal results. I would only use when cutting not bulking personally. I like them for binge meals as well regardless of goals.
I have no exp. with contests or contest prep so I will let someone else chime in on that aspect.

-Is there a major difference between r-ala and slin sane/glycobol outside of the added vascularity?
Most ingredients used in GDAs are used to help regulate blood sugar. The increase in vascularity can be attributable to the norvaline in Slin Sane as well as the carb loading.
-I have read it would be bad to take slin sane/glycobol after lifting, why is this? Wouldn't it aid in pushing nutrients into muscle cells, especially during a cut when a higher percentage of daily carb intake is? Would R-ala be bad to take post workout as well?
It is unwise to supplement with GDAs after training as their impact will be negligible. Post workout muscle sensitivity to nutrients in blood stream is peaked out and GDA would have virtually no impact on people with regular metabolic function.
-Would slin sane/glycobol be good precontest (dumb question, I assume the answer is yes)?
In a carb load situation of course.
- If so, would it be worth it to take it daily, even on off days, and which is better: slin sane or glycobol
I take it every day with last meal of the day and often a dose pre bed.
-Would it be advisable to take even with peak week carb load?
Anytime you're consuming 60+g of carbs you could see benefit from using it.NSCA CSCS

Interesting...I just got 2 bottles in the mail yesterday & my carb up is tomorrow. I will have to try it and see how I look Sunday morning and make a judgment call. Been using r-ala for 2 weeks and I have seen small changes in my physique after moderate and big carb ups (could be psychological though). 2 weeks out from a show, probably shouldn't be throwing something new into the mix but I've heard such good things about this stuff...

Really? Curious as to exactly what you mean? Gymnemic acid blocks some glucose uptake as well but that shouldn't impact it too much. I can feel the difference in my shirt sleeves after I refeed on it.
Always good to experiment before the big day amigoNSCA CSCS
