Does anyone shave with a slant? I'm thinking about picking up a merkur slant since the only safety razor I have is an ej89 and I'd like to change it up a bit.

jelly of that special pricing. I missed it. I lost a bet so I can't shave until the end of december but I think I'm going to order a b1 coated bulldog handle right now and then hopefully get a b1 slant head after christmas. Two month hiatus from shaving with a new ikon slant...hnnng

Yeah that'll be amazing. My first pass I thought was horrible because it felt like it was just rubbing the soap off. I reach up and its completely smooth. Wat.
I have a weird confession too. I've tried pretty much all the best soaps and creams, artisan and all, and one of my favorites comes in a bottle dispenser and has a ****gy name. Plus it's cheap.

Best sensitive skin routine (and affordable):
Alum block while you wash out sink and razor:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Wash that off. Squirt the following on a cotton ball and rub all over face:

WITH SOME OF THESE IN THERE:
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B003SAB3VY/...ywords=menthol
Finish your morning or whatever stuff. Then go with the classic:

I haven't kept up with this thread much, but I wanted to mention that I found a great blade at a great price (100 blades for $13.64):
www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0077LAJT2/
I've had other Personna blades in the past that sucked balls, but these are apparently some newer and different version. And I can confirm that they are very sharp and smooth. I've seen people on Badger and Blade recommend these too. I think they are referred to as "Lab Blue" if you want to do more research.
I'm big on Feather blades - easily my favorite blade over the past 5 years. These Personna blades are almost as sharp as Feathers, if not as sharp, but they are smoother. At least in my Merkur Slant. I'm going to try them in my Muhle closed comb next, but I'm pretty sure they'll work in about any razor.

Looking into new brushes as I mentioned before, but what are you guys currently using? I have an AoS pure badger (pretty sure that's what it is)
Looking for something to face lather with. Possibly boar?
Also what's your favorite soap/cream currently?
Are there stores where I can go and smell and check out different shave products, soaps, creams, brushes, aftershaves, etc.? I've looked around and just don't know what I'm looking for... I want to check out a variety of those but it seems everything just needs to be ordered online.
I'm in Seattle til Tuesday then heading to Vegas if anyone has anywhere to check out#MAGA

Thanks brah, I've been doing lots of research on the 49 and will check out the CO Bigelow for sure!
Final question I promise, What are some of the best, most cost effective badger brushes? I was really looking at the Parker pure badger brush, but reviews kind of throw me off. And I'm interested in a silvertip but don't want to spend >$100 the more cost effective the better#MAGA

The lather was super dry yesterday I don't think I soaked the brush long enough before shaving. I don't know if it being 41 Celsius helped ha
Any of your brahs have shaving youtube channels? Which guys do you follow? I've been watching geofatboy and nick shaves. I like nick's videos but he is super positive about every product haha give out some criticism brah!PSN: e_m_a91
