What's the most masculine aftershave out there brahs?
Btw, been shaving with DE razors Voshkod Teflon Coated and Gillette Silver Blue, GSB is by a decent margin a better blade imo. SHarper and smoother shave from the first pass to the last. Could just be that it's only sharper but that one is my favorite so far
I tried Stirling Spice, idk....that one seems feminine. Not sure what oldschool old spice is supposed to smell like but it just smells like really old cheap perfume definitely something an old woman would wear, but that's just me

Just got the RazoRock "What The Puck" 3 pack in the mail yesterday. Had my first shave with one this morning and it was one of the best shaves I've had in a long time. I definitely recommend picking at least one puck up if you get a chance.

Is the West Coast Shaving brand of products good?
I'm researching what I'm going to be buying and will get into wet shaving in December after the no-shave November.
I'm looking at the Rum Runner shaving soap.
Also, how long does a shaving bar or tin usually last?"I don't mean to sound bitter, cold, or cruel, but I am, so that's how it comes out."

Can't comment on the west coast shaving brand products but how long a puck lasts can vary depending on how frequent you shave and how thick you like your lather.
Just personally I shave twice a week and like my lather on the lighter side, I generally do a 3 pass shave so I have gotten it down so I have enough lather for that amount. My 5oz tub of RazoRock XXX has lasted me about 8 months or so and I can probably get another month or two out of it. That's also building the lather on my face rather than in a bowl. I notice that when I use a puck and build the lather in a bowl the puck goes faster.hard to hate on a fellow wings fan but....

Grew a beard from summer through fall. My kid loved it and, I admit, I enjoyed the fact it saved me a few minutes in the morning before work.
As these things go, I began to miss my face and returned to wetshaving in December. I've missed it so much. I don't care if it makes me look like a kid; I love the whole experience of it."Above all, we must realize that no arsenal, or no weapon in the arsenals of the world, is so formidable as the will and moral courage of free men and women. Saw a Beard Monkey Twistrazor (https://www.lyko.se/beard-monkey/bea...-twist-razor-1) and had to get it since it looked like a nice razor.
After a few tries I gave up on it, since it's way too wimpy for me and I would only recommend it if your facial hair is very light.
I went back to my Gillette SuperSpeed which is far better and a week later, got out my 34C which I haven't shaved with for over a year.

Btw - Astra is owned by Gillette.
https://www.theguysshavingclub.com/a...e-edge-blades/
They do have a bit of history. They were originally made in the Czech Republic for 20 years and were bought by Gillette in 1996 who moved the production to Russia.
The company was was called Czech Astra Company so that is where the name came from. Then in 2005 Proctor&Gamble merged with Gillette and kept the Astra razor blades as their double edge razor blade product.

Haven't shaved in a while, been growing the beard out but with summer coming probably going to be shaving everyday / every second day. Is shaving cream necessary? I almost always shaved with just cold water in the shower

Gillette should accept they perfected shaving over one hundred years ago and leave it at that.

Buy a decent brush, and lather with this to protect and nourish your skin. Of all their great products, this one is the only one with the holy trinity I think (beeswax, shea butter, coconut oil)
https://www.stirlingsoap.com/product...wax-shave-soap
The coconut oil is the one that perfected that particular lather. But yeah, I'd say so. You need to preserve the life of every skin cell you can through perfecting of your technique, and the entire shaving process. If you think about it, a close shave is amazing, but going overboard with it, rushing and sacrificing technique, not investing in quality products that are worth putting onto your skin -- those are big mistakes that will end up taking their toll. Might as well do your research and start shaving the right way; it's like a mini hobbyWord is Bond

New gear I ordered
Timor 1325K Open Comb Safety Razor - I don't Shave everyday because I like the way my facial hair looks after 3-4 days of stubble growth. so when I was shaving with my Muhle R89 which is closed comb it was clogging up because of the thick / longer facial hair. had 1 shave with this Timor 1325k open comb and it worked great, definitely feels like a more aggressive razor and didn't clog. also has really nice weight and balance to it
100 Feather Razor Blades - Got feather razor blades because fk Gillette
Klar's shaving soap - saw videos / read reviews of this soap and sounds like it has great performance
ToOBS Eton College - had the sandalwood scent as my first cream and it was great and very easy to lather

I am not an expert on soaps at all, but on my last purchase I got Klar's Shaving Soap in a Tin and it is easily the best soap I've used. the lather is really rich and creamy and hydrates my face very well during my shave. It is a bit pricier than Taylor of Old Bond Street though
Pre de Provence #63 shaving soap is really nice and has a great scent. washroom smells great when I leave it out to dry after a shave
Nick Shaves did a review of Muhle R41 razor and used Pre de Provence #63 soap with it and he thought it was great

Obviously go slow to start, shave in the direction of your hair growth, use a good/slick shaving cream or soap and make sure your blade is sharp as fuk.
If you're using safety razors, try Feathers. The sharper the blade, the smoother the shave. Also soften your facial hair with a hot shower or a hot wet towel for a few minutes before you shave
