Judging a person based on a forum post is absolutely pathetic. I saw the post which clearly said that 'That moment when you realize everything you guys post in here is from new album releases.com'. This is clearly attacking the users ITT even if it was an error on your part. You should accept that rather than just wave it of as 'Yeah I just worded wrong'. You came in and said that which resulted in some of the certain comments to be made. To say boozer is 'negativity and immaturity', is absolutely pathetic on your end and you look immature. Don't go calling other people negative/immature when all you did was base him of certain post in regards to your comment you made.

Here's a post I made about lossless audio a while back. It might be informative.

In general though, if you do most of your listening through a phone, or mobile device, or anything else without a strong dedicated amp and good headphones/speakers, the file size to increased sonic quality ratio makes FLAC not really worth it in my opinion. I have an extra FLAC copy of a bunch of my favorite albums that I might want to throw on my home theater system from time to time, but in general 320kbps is just fine for my needs. If it don't touch my soul then I can't listen to it.

I'm no expert by any means, but it's probably clipping from frequency cutoff. Lossy codecs like mp3's reduce file size by cutting off certain frequencies. Most of the data above these frequencies is silent, so it enables the file sizes to shrink considerably without an appreciable loss in audio quality, but with the speakers turned up you might notice the cutoff. Here are waveforms from a .wav (lossless) and .mp3 (lossy) file. You can see that there is a hard cutoff on the .mp3 version, while the lossless version has full peaks and troughs.
If it don't touch my soul then I can't listen to it.

This Mos Def and Marvin Gaye mix is an absolute beauty. I actually prefer it over the original now that I've been listening to it every day.
Just realized I can't link until after 50 posts but I think most of you will know what I'm talking about. It's called "Yasiin Gaye - Inner City Travellin' Man; so amazing.

Amazing, Black thoughts flow >
I'm sure I heard The Roots saying something on twitter about doing a colab with Yasiin/mos over a Dilla beat? Unless they've done it already, I would love to hear it.
Speaking of the roots though, this never gets old http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2rDWEMZG0lE
btw how do you embed videos properly?~Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing there is a field. I'll meet you there. When the soul lies down in that grass the world is too full to talk about. Rumi.~
