Congrats on making it through round one JP, your focus has been 10/10 lately.

Deep tissue massages are AWESOME. Don't know if you've had one before but if you get a good person doing it they really seek and destroy all the knots in your body. You feel a bit tender coming out of it but wake up the next morning feeling you spent the last 24 hours having the best foam rolling session of your life!

i've always wondered if it was worth the money... i've never had one, but the MT who does work on Flex Lewis is at the gym I got to, and i've really been considering getting one.

Yeah I recently had a deep tissue massage in China (no happy endings unfortunately), was well worth the pain! Told her to stay away from my feet and the tops of my hamstrings as I physically couldn't stand the pain/ticklish pain, kept involuntarily flinching and kicking out at her haha.

I know man, wish I could. We don't have a power rack/cage, and I want to keep my 3 step step out from the rack in place. So if I tried facing away from the mirror I'd have to step forward instead of my 3 steps backwards. I feel that the setup is more important. Thoughts?

I'm not sure if this was mentioned, but you could bring a towel or small blanket and hang it up over the mirror. I do this sometimes at my friends gym. Looking good in here and I'm in for the journey.

Have fun at the wedding, JP! The funny thing about soy sauce is that its so inconsistent with weigh-ins. Yesterday I must have had about 8 of those little fish shaped tubes of soy sauce and pretty much salted ALL my food, yet this morning I wake up over a pound lighter than the previous days LOL.

I used to think I couldn't have soy sauce anymore because of what it did to my weigh in consistency. Then I started tracking sodium and it was allllll good.

But don't start tracking sodium offseason LOL. Mindfuk ftw!

tracking sodium = kind of precision... i've never even tried, i have enough of a time making sure my macros are on!

I'm quite sensitive to water retention since (especially when my macros are higher) I'm one of those IIFYM dudes who eats something different every night. Nothing wrong with that from thermodynamics point of view, but it does make consistency in scale weight while cutting an absolute nightmare. The solution was to start tracking sodium and hey presto I found a number which allows me to produce repeatable weigh in data day to day!

It's not something I would necessarily recommend - but for prep it has helped me mentally immensely

So last night I went to a wedding and it was a blast! It was the first time I've really drank in 6 months. I probably had about 4 beers and 4 mixed drinks and woke up with a pretty bad hangover just in time for my first day of Sheiko 37 LOL I also didn't even try to track dinner/dessert macros, I just enjoyed myself. I had a lot of salmon and prime rib and it was delicious! Also, instead of cake they had TONS of mini desserts and I had 7 of them LOL I had 3 mini carrot cakes, 2 mini cheesecakes, 1 mini whoopie pie, and 1 mini lemon pie! MMMMMMM. Yeah budday! I took a few pics but they didn't come out too well, I'll still post them later though!

Sheiko was tough today with the hangover. I also added 10 to bench calculations and 15 to squat/DL when its recommended 5/10. I hope I don't regret it, but we'll see. I went against all advice I was given, so it's going to take some mental strength to crush this, but I got it!

Nudes and food pron later tonight, the pics have been taken, just need to upload! Check back tonight!

working out hungover = suckage... i only recently started getting hangovers, and they usually aren't bad (just a headache), but i've had one or two which made the gym the following day rubbish! oh and in terms of counting sodium, i'd be truly afraid to see how much i get... lol i eat a lot of cottage cheese, random condiments, etc. that are loaded with sodium. maybe i should start paying attention to it lol
