    Dcue's Klog

Hey all, just wanna share my experience with keto. I'm probably Gonna update this once a week max, but you can check my profile for my daily ramblings.

    Background (cliffs notes version)

Why Keto: metabolic disorder that screws up with my system from getting energy from glycogen.

Motivation: 9/10 all the time. Will workout daily or 2x day if possible.

    Current stats:
    Weight (am, empty stomach): 159lb
Height: 5'10" (a line or two more)
BF%: my Omron states 11% but my own estimation would have to be 12-12.5%.

    Keto:
    - started almost 3 weeks ago
    - lost 8-9lbs
    - dropped about 2% BF
    - no keto flu so far
    - only had 1 day where I think I went a bit over the carb limit (not too much)

    3 weeks later

Ive initially set my goal to hover around (and 9% bf) by today and this was at least 2.5 months ago.

Dropped from 170lb/14% bf to current at 154.5lb (11%). Btw, since starting keto, I've noticed that my omron's not getting accurate data so I started using calipers. I guess I'm dehydrated. Ie. Omron shows 9ish % but caliper shows at least 10%.

Either way, I'm happy with the transformation although I have to admit i had some minor gaffes along the way.

I will be stepping out of keto due to vacation, hopefully I don't gain back too much, and will be back on this right after.

Over the last 3-4 weeks, I've broken my lifting plateaus that had me stuck for almost a year, and I've upped my training intensity.

I did also noticed the difference between training on keto vs training after getting temporarily kicked out of keto.
